I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I have recommended to many. I did use the gas x strips when getting that pain between the shoulder blades. Small plate, baby spoon...and reading these forums are a great help and support. I have never had any remorse or anything like that about eating. I'm 55 and have yoyod and lost and gained 1000 pounds over my life time so I am really good with this. Don't know how good my hubby is handling though. He has to eat left overs a lot and sometimes finishes what I don't eat. We had company the other night and the hubby makes the best ribs. I ate 1 rib and about 1/4 of a corn on the cob. I used to eat 5 or 6 ribs and 3 or 4 corns.....The grocery bill is soooo small...I like that, but I was a fruit aholic and I miss my fruit. Plus the best part is I'm shrinking, off all of my meds...sugar, cholestrol and arthritus and feeling very good

I too had the dry heaves for a few hours after surgery. I did not want to throw up. The first few days are the worst. Then you get over that liquid diet and things do get better.

My skin looks dry and wrinkley, but I am 55. It may be lack of water as I can't get it all in yet. 4 weeks out.

Sounds kind of like me too. Every time I felt that little pain between my shoulders...take a strip and walk. It was only there a couple days. My stomach still gurgles a little but not as much as in the beginning. Now when I eat I get little burps...telling me slow down!
Hang in there....

I"m 3 weeks out. I don't think I will go back to the gym for a while yet. I'll see what the doc says next week. I did try cod fish last night. Too dry and I heard you shouldn't have beef unless it is pressure cooked. I feel like i'm loosing way to slow also, but am losing. I kinda hit a stall last week and I upped my colories a tad yesterday. Made a pnut butter banana smoothie with protein powder....yummy...now to day it's back to regular eating.

I'm 55. I did not have the training as I am a self pay. I rid my house of bad food. My hubby had been doing his own cooking for the last 2 weeks. He's lot about 6 pounds. But I am cooking again. 3 weeks out...having fish and green beans...although it will only be enough to fill my 4 oz tupperware dish. If my hubby wants snacks he buys a small bag at his work or keeps them in his truck. I haven't wanted any. I did not spend this much money and what I've gone through to sabotage i. I am constantly thinking about and planning what to eat, when to drink. Now I don't have kids at home...I can see that being hard. But hey, throw out the chips. Do your kids really need them???

I too went thru the same thing. At that 3rd week I just couldn't take it anymore. I asked the surgeon if I could add cream soup and he said to go onto the soft foods. That was me though. I have seen some people on this board eating soft from the beginning and others at 4 weeks. Talk to your dr. Don't go buy what's on this board. Everyone is different. I came thru my surgery with flying colors and rejected my pain meds the next day...that's me.....

I felt so hungry also and my stomach was growling. the Dr said it was mental hunger...uh..I don't believe that. The 2 weeks of liquid was really a stuggle for me...jello, popsicles, gatorade. I had quit the nutra sweet and everything tastes so sickening sweet n gross to me. Finally on the soft stuff....and I really feel better. Just timing food and drink. But it makes you think of what you are putting in your body. Things will get better....it will
