What is happening to my skin

I have been on my pre-op diet and I have noticed my skin looks and feels weird. I am getting a lot of body acne and the texture feels different.

I guess my system is in a detox mode.

Has anyone else experienced changes in their skin?

Absolutely! I usually have pretty good skin. As soon as I started the prep diet I got dry patches, blotchy skin, and acne. I still am having issues 3 weeks post op. I think it is just lack of proper nutrition, electrolyte imbalances, and hormonal imbalances. Just like we have the possibility to lose hair our skin suffers. I am still also having trouble with my tongue. It should get better with time. Till then we are going to look pretty scary. Good luck!!

My skin looks dry and wrinkley, but I am 55. It may be lack of water as I can't get it all in yet. 4 weeks out.

My skin is actually getting better. Of course it changes a little due to my being 50 but I got some amazing supplements from www.juiceplus.com and they are working wonderfully. Also drink, drink and then drink some more (water :) )

I drink water all day long, so much so my eyes float. LOL But I will keep it up, once I'm post-op I know I need it. I plan to check you the site you shared Neuanfang. Thanks!

Days away from surgery and the skin is getting a bit better. I find that if I put lemon in my water it helps greatly. I guess the pre-op diet and the lemon water are a good detox for the old body. LOL
