I have never heard of this with weight loss.....will look it up.....I have some family members that have foot drop...... but it's related to CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth)......an inherited neurological disorder......Good luck, and please keep us posted on what you learn.....best wishes. -p

Count me in.......scheduled for the 6th and scared as hell! LOL (just got it today and still shaky)

So sorry you're going through this. If you two can't work it out yourselves, try to seek out counseling if you can.....good luck.
In May I told DH the first week following WLS, while I'm on Clear liquids, he's on his own....he thinks I was kidding..... ...I think he's in for a rude awakening

I can not say 'Thank You' enough to all of the posters who have posted about the 3 week stall. I will be 3 weeks post-op in 2 days and about 5 days ago my body put the brakes on! I lost 21 quick lbs in the first 2 weeks, then low and behold....nothing. zip. zilch. I am a very 'instant gratification' kind of gal and I KNOW had I not read all of your posts about the dreaded 3WS that my attitude would be in the crapper! Instead, I feel pretty darn normal and since I half expected this, I am OK with it! Besides, inches are still coming off
So, a huge THANK YOU to everyone for sharing their personal journeys, successes and struggles. It helps so much! Now, when will I start losing again???

I am in the approval process, w/o a date, and have heard a lot of people having these feelings.
I've been eating healthier...and attempting to ween myself off carbs so it's easier down the road.....I'm so afraid I'll be in mourning too when I do get a date LOL

My surgery is Thursday. Tomorrow I go to all liquids. Up to now, it's been Protein Shakes for 2 meals and a sensible meal for either lunch or dinner.< /p>
I've done a lot of physical, mental, and spiritual preparation. I am grateful to the plus-size stores that allowed me to express my sense of style. I won't miss shopping there but they were there when I needed them. For that, I am grateful.
I don't regret anything to this point. Truthfully, I enjoyed every fast food meal, cookie, and loaf of fresh bread. But it's time to move to a better model for good health. I welcome it with no regrets. I had a wonderful time getting to this point.
I am at peace with the decision to get sleeved and make room for changes that will hopefully allow me to enjoy this wonderful life a little longer with the man I love. He was sleeved last month and is doing amazingly well.
Onto the next chapters......always exciting to find out what we'll write on the next page.
I wish all if us making this step a good experience. May God hold all of us in the palm of his hand.

after all those years having big girls, which can be an "uplifting" situation i wanted to go small
now that i've lost my weight, my breast size matches the rest of my body

I like "not your mother's jeans" quite a bit.....I had to go down a size.....they come in petites, however, my store didn't carry them, so I bought a regular and just hemmed them up myself (at that price, they should have been hemmed for me LOL) I'm 5'1, and the waist to crotch measurement was fine....no low rise there......good luck!

I have a biggie for next year...to wear my wedding band and fit into my wedding dress on our 30th anniversary......but there are so many things I'm looking forward to before I get to that point, and most of which have already been said by others.....cheers!

Welcome, Jenn! I've heard of folks whose insurance used the original weigh in......you'll have to see what happens.....keep us posted.....my paperwork was sent to Cigna last week....but my BMI is higher.....best wishes

That's not unnecessary whining at all.....I don't think I'd have as much self control as you've shown. I can just see me stopping in for an update "because I was in the neighborhood" (ummm, it's about an hour away) LOL Good luck!
