Ree got a reaction from shumaked in Liquid Diet Menu?
I talked to the NUT yesterday and asked her about the pre-op diet and she said I will have to do a liquid diet for 7 to 10 days. So how do I get the 7 days and not the 10 days? lol.

I'm still waiting to be sleeved but I have started to take Biotin. I take 5000mcg a day and its in a dissolvable tablet you put under your tongue but I don't take it this way. The tablet is so small so I just swallow it. I don't like to put it under my tongue because for some reason I end up with bad facial pain for the rest of the day.

I have one of those friends that has really nice clothes. she wears them once or twice and then gives them to the good will. she's smaller than me and I asked her when she was cleaning out a closet last time to give me her clothes and they are all adorable and most have tags on them but they're all like a size 9. ( I'm a size 20/22) so I hung them up and I can't stop looking and dreaming of the day I will be able to fit into these adorable clothes, it's a great inspiration for me!! My surgery is in 3 weeks :-)

Ree got a reaction from soonerorlater in Are these feelings normal?
I haven't been sleeved yet but some days I feel 100% ready to go and know that this is the best decision I can make. Then I have days where I think what the heck am I getting myself into. Are these types of feelings normal before getting sleeved? and do they eventually pass?

Ree got a reaction from able2cope in Do you exercise?
I think this is going to be one of my biggest challenges (*i think*). I'm not able to easily get to a gym because I don't currently drive. I have a big gut and I'm short (5ft tall), so when I pull the seat up to reach the pedals my stomach is pressed up against the steering wheel and it makes it difficult to steer.
Today I found a good walking video to follow however after 5 minutes and I was ready to quit because I just found it too difficult. A walking video! Not even a quick moving exercise video.
So do you exercise at all? and if so, what does your exercise routine look like each week? I'm looking for ideas on what I can possibly do.
oh and I usually avoid outdoor walks because for some reason the outdoors cause me more problems with breathing than walking indoors (ex: the mall).

Ree got a reaction from MicaNicole in Why the sleeve and not gastric bypass?
Thanks so much everyone for sharing your reasons for doing the gastric sleeve instead of the gastric bypass. Now that i've read up on dumping and food restrictions I'm pretty sure I want to still go with the sleeve. I know this might all depend on what the surgeon has to say too but I still want to be able to eat whatever I want, even if it's just a small bite and thats it. I don't want to worry about the dumping. That sounds painful! I'm also concerned about malabsorption with gastric bypass so the sleeve sounds more of the right fit for me.
