  1. Totally normal to be emotional after surgery. And yes, it is hormonal. I was even crying for commercials. LOL.
  2. 1. Tolerating anything I try but still following the rules.. Low carb/ high protein. I've stayed away from starchy carbs but do eat fruit/veggies/meat/dairy. Eating 2-4 oz per sitting, depending on what I'm eating. 2. I don't count calories (per Dr. request) 3. I had stopped but started again after the hair loss started. Figured the extra protein couldn't hurt. 4. Surgery was on 6/11- - 71 lbs lost. 5. Love this sleeve. Down from size 22/24 to 14/16. Feeling great!
  3. ** I wasn't restricted to 6 weeks- that's just when my appointment was scheduled.

  5. Walking, swimming, bike, Taebo (without the jumps) light hand weights, walking up and down stairs... Stuff like that. No running. No intense ab exercises. No jumping.

  7. Around my 5-6 week appointment. My doc was like, "ok, you can start training for the Olympics." Lol
  8. Boobs! Specifically, perky ones. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  9. Yes, deviled eggs are really easy to eat. I make me a deviled egg (yep, 1- and my coworkers laugh) once in a while to bring to work. Except I use a Lauging Cow wedge instead of mayo-- yum!
  10. And be sure you aren't sacrificing nutrition to have wine
  11. I don't have an issue with chicken, but turkey doesn't sit well. It doesn't come up, it just doesn't feel good. But I do find steak is easier than poultry (strange?).
  12. Yes, SE LA. It's funny how not having AC doesn't make the top 3 worries now. Haha. The heat isn't quite as bad with these lbs gone.
  13. LOL Please don't throw things- Maybe anger management courses should be a preop requirement?
  14. Normally, when I'm preparing for a storm I'm thinking Water, gas, cash, prepping the home, food, blah blah... It's funny when I heard of the storm entering the Gulf of Mexico, my first thought was... OMG! I BETTER GO STOCK UP ON Protein BARS!! Haha, how our thoughts change!
  15. 1) HT: 5' (ok, 4' 11") 2) HW: 245 lbs 3) SW: 240 4) GOAL: 100 lbs down (possibly more, possibly less, I'll see when I get there) CW: 169 5) 3.5 months out 6) AGE: 25
  16. Some docs want you to buy specific brands, but my doctor wasn't too picky. I use Flintstones Complete, Tums (calcium), and B12 (the berry flavored dissolvable tablets from Walmart- don't know the brand name). And apparently these things are working bc my lab work looks fantastic! I also take Biotin and (tmi) Colace daily. In the beginning I'd def buy some Gax X strips and children's Tylenol as well. Hope this helps!
  17. Ok, I was wondering what kind of activity we were talking about... Ahem, I wear compressions when I work out: shirts that is. Never tried compression shorts. Do you like them?
  18. Thanks steffranco!
  19. Self pay in Louisiana- Dr. Borland- $9800
  20. I had a lot of nausea/ intense gagging the first 24 hrs (had nothing to actually vomit), but my doctor said it wouldn't cause a problem. But past the 24 hr mark, I've only had one vomit episode.
  21. I wouldn't ... But my sleeve is a snob.
  22. Before&during: This was taken this past weekend at a BBQ my husband and I host every year... Sleeved June 11th
  23. Bread scares me as well- which I'm happy about, bc I have no plans to try it.
  24. I was tired of ppl asking or assuming I was pregnant... Um, nope, just fat.
  25. I didn't have one- just clear liquids the day before.
