  1. Oh WOW!! Haha And I'm not sure why.. But I was wondering if anyone else experiences the same thing... When I have a waiter or waitress who is of a different nationality (mainly Hispanic or Asian) they never seem to make a big deal of it like Americans do. Is drinking with meals a cultural thing?? Or more about better service?
  2. No way! I've taken care of too many bypass patients with way too many problems. I'm happy to say everything is going smoothly, and I'm so excited about my weight loss!
  3. I left the same day and was so happy about that. I felt much better not being in a hospital!
  4. The only thing I ever had trouble with is not ordering a drink. I really just didn't want one around afraid I'd drink out of habit. You know, out of sight/out of mind. The waitress/waiter would always ask, "are you sure you don't want anything to drink?? You sure? Really?" Lol. I once even got the, "but water is free." ... So now when I first sit I say, "no thank you. I don't drink with my meals." And that seems to work perfectly. And Indigo 1991 was right, once you lose lbs, no one seems to notice what you eat. It just seems normal.
  5. Prematurely grey- HAHA. Sorry, had to laugh. I have not changed my grey covering schedule, and I see no difference in the amount of shedding. I think it's safe.
  6. I'm drooling over this. Lol
  7. That actually sounds tasty!
  8. I can eat it easily. But I can't really give any insight on nutrition (besides its high in protein).
  9. $9800 in Louisiana.. Dr. T. Borland.
  10. It's your doctor's preference. I did not have one, but my surgery was also outpatient.
  11. My scalp hurts as well. Especially when I change directions (like flick it to the opposite side). I just thought I was being crazy! LOL
  12. Sounds right.
  13. My cravings have totally changed. I used to LOVE sweets and potatoes, rice, and bread. Oh my! But now my cravings are usually for red meat. Go figure. But seriously, I think it's really cool.
  14. I find it MUCH more intense. It seems like thing are... Uh... More accessible.
  15. Ok, y'all making me hungry. Good thing it's nearly dinner time!
  16. During my first 2 weeks I was feeling lightheaded and my doc told me to start taking B12, and that really helped me.
  17. Just wanted to get some ideas. It's hard to cook for just 1. Today's lunch: frozen chicken breast (2 oz) baked in a bit of chicken broth w/ green Beans. What are y'all eating today??
  18. Starting wt: 240.6 Current wt: 169.5 Goal wt: 140 (May possibly lower) 4 months out So happy with my results so far. Looking forward to the future- the slimmer sexier healthier future. J. Cross- I'm with you-- saving $$ for the plastics!
  19. Just following the rules and exercising. Don't worry! It'll come off!!
  20. Oh, and most people seem to prefer the ready-to-drink Premier Protein shakes
  21. Do you like the EAS? If so, I'd add some unflavored protein powder to them bc they could use a higher protein count.
  22. My surgery was outpatient. And I couldn't get out fast enough. Lol
  23. Don't panic. I wasn't even allowed protein until the 2nd week. Just keep trying!
