Embrace the fact that you've had this surgery, and make the most of it. You can buy new boobs (start saving now!), and can get a great butt from hiking up mountains, doing squats, or other toning exercises.
I just looked through your gallery to check out these amazing curves presurgery...and the biggest curve was still your mid section... just like mine..ha! Those "curves" weren't hiding your weight...sorry.
The first month sucks...everyone knows it. It will get better, and you will be able to exercise easier with some weight off of you. Don't stay in this funk. What's done is done, now make the most of it and start walking down the road of health AND hotness (even if it's just hotness when clothed).

I would not be sure of that without tracking. I don't eat bread or Pasta and still frequently struggle with keeping my carbs under 60. My Fitness Pal or a similar food tracker may help you to see where carbs are sneaking in.

Ketosis is when your body has switched to converting fat to fuel instead of using it's glycogen stores. It's when you are "low carbing" or not eating enough calorie wise to support your body's energy needs. Soooo...the answer is...you'll have the bad breath as long as you are burning fat for fuel

I had surgery Monday 17th. Tuesday I slept and had a swallow study. Wed. I did Clear Liquids. Today I added thicker liquids, had my drain removed, and am on my way home. I can hold down 3 oz an hour every hour. If I do 4 oz's then I have a hard time doing it again the next hour. I'm so excited to go home!!

I received the call yesterday that I was approved for surgery! So I started trying to get my ducks in a row on all my copays, deductibles, and other expenses so I would be prepared when they give me my date.
Called the surgeon's office, I owed a 1$ for my portion bc I had a credit with them!
Called the hospital, I owe $320.00 and I have already met my $150.00 deductible so all I owed the day if surgery was $100.00!! So for $101.00 I will have my surgery!!!

    This is great! Here's mine:
    1. Sit in my husband's lap without feeling like I'm crushin' him (he's 140lbs)
    2. Me on top sex without crushing my husband.
    3. Victoria Secret purchases
    4. Shopping at any store in the "normal sizes" section
    5. Being able to backpack a whole week without feeling like I'm gonna die.
    6. Run a half marathon (looking at one this December...the Santa Hustle)
    7. Being able to do full pushups and planks without feeling like my back is going to break
    8. Sky diving (here in East TN) & Bungee jumping (In New Zealand)
    9. Never worrying about riding any theme park rides... Never having the fear of "what if it doesn't latch cause I'm so big!)
    10. New boobs... I've never had very large breasts even at my largest. Once I'm down to my goal weight, I'm gettin' new boobs..ha!!

I certainly can relate to most of the items on the lists. I have a long list too.
    I can't wait:
    1. To not have to look around to see if I'm the fattest person in the room
    2. To cross my legs
    3. To buy a bra with only one or two rows of hooks
    4. To kayak without my butt being "wall-to-wall" in the kayak---so uncomfortable
    5. To fly somewhere/anywhere without worrying about the seat size or being able to use the seatbelt
    6. To ride my bike again & actually go on a long planned ride
    7. To ride the motorcycle with my fiancé without people staring because we are so big
    8. To wear a cute or sexy bathing suit
    9. To shop in any store for clothes--can't even imagine the shopaholic I will become. It's been almost 25 years since I've shopped in a "regular" store.
    10. To run a 5k
    11. To not get winded doing regular daily activities
    12. To paint my own toenails
    13. To advance my career because I'm no longer filled with self-doubt
    14. To wear knee high boots
    15. To dance in public without being self conscious
My fiancé & I are going through this process together and I can't wait for us to get healthy, get married, & start our new life together.

I have some. I never knew I had them, though of course they must have always been there but now, they let themselves be known! I love them, even though they freak me out a little.
I reach up to scratch an itch on my neck or rub my moisturiser in or adjust my bra strap and BOOM! I hit a W/T/F moment as my hand hits this weird, large, protruding bone! I haven't gotten used to it yet. I LOVE how I can see them now when I look in the mirror even if I am still unprepared for when I feel them sticking out like they do. Like they are meant to.
An unexpected little NSV. Collarbones. I can sit here and play with them :-)

    Hey there Seattlesportsfan!
    Tips:
    1. Carry your heating pad.
    2. I highly recommend the Italian restaurant that is on the property at the hotel for your last meal (I heard the Steakhouse is good too).
    3. If you are in pain, just tell them and they will give you pain meds.
    4. There are only 2 English channels on the TV, so take something like a book or a Kindle or something to keep you entertained.
    5. It's HOT there... so if you walk outside, don't stay out too long.
    6. Hold on, on Day 2...the pain is going to suck, but on Day 3 you'll feel much better!
    7. For whoever is going with you, the restaurant in the hospital is good per my husband, and there is a mall that is only about a half mile away that has a food court. There's also a chinese restaurant right across the street.
I had a fantastic experience there, and I'm sure you will too! Good luck! Feel free to message me any specific questions you have

They are probably just being polite--I personally will rarely comment on someone's weight loss, just like I don't comment if it looks like they have gained. I think it's such a personal thing. Plus some people are in their own world and just don't notice other people a lot. If they say something like "you look nice today," they have probably noticed.

rebecca_dsu reacted to LipstickLady in Sleeved May 30 2013, can eat anything! Uh oh
I was sleeved almost 5 weeks ago and can't really get past the pureed stage yet. Some days I can tolerate a nibble or two of VERY moist meat, but then I am done for the day.
I don't want to sound judgy, but I know I am going to. Why are you pushing the limits of your sleeve so soon and why are you not following your surgeon's instructions? It sounds to me like you are sabotaging yourself.
Maybe you don't realize that you really are still in the high danger zone of having a leak. From what I understand, and I am sure I will be corrected, we are in the danger zone of leaks until 6 or so months out. Your doctor has a reason for telling you to eat foods in certain stages, not only for the health of your new stomach, but also for optimum weight loss.
If you are already choosing to eat pizza, drink wine, consume ice cream, etc. at just under three weeks, what results are you truly expecting from your sleeve? It can't do the work for you.

I had a very good day! I snuck into work. (My Dr has me out for a month.) I am a teacher so I wanted to give my students their last report cards. Plus it was Activity Day. They were so happy to see me! I then went grocery shopping for stage 2 foods. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow and I should be moved up diet wise. I am not hungry but my tummy sounds angry. It keeps making these deep rumbling noises. It is ready to get some food! I had some egg drop Soup. Delicious!!!!!! I followed lunch up with a 1.5 mile walk. I feel 100% like myself!!!!!!!
