Smoking
This was probably posted with good intention and well meaning, but in all honesty, couldn't people say that every time a fat person takes a bite of anything unhealthy. What's the difference? A bite of something didn't make me fat........And being fat for me is no difference.

Sex-yep, im going there...
Hey, you could make a cameo on that new TV show......."Sex Sent Me to the ER". LOL. Just kidding. (but there really is a show called that) I could hear your doc saying..."what part of 4 weeks did you not understand"

Surgery February 19, 2014 How much do they expect you to lose pre op?
Truth is, every doc is different. If they didn't give you a specific amount, they are probably not concerned. The pre-op liquid diet is typically to shrink the liver, however you usually drop a few pounds as well. Good luck with your surgery.

what kind of gas
No matter where the gas is trapped, you only have two exits, so it's gotta work it's way outa one or both of them, with the accompanying sounds and smells.

go to GNC and get some Isopure zero carb flavored Protein drinks. 20oz, 40 grams protein. I cut them with Water and drink all day. Many flavors. Good luck.

Smoking
This would be like asking....."should I put 4 or 5 bullets in the gun to play Russian roulette.

15 grams of carbs/500 or fewer calories a day until I lose 100 pounds?
Hmmmm, what are they gonna do if you don't reach their monthly goals, are you subjected to shock treatments or banished to some remote island. As others have said, they are guidelines. You're not a machine that they can calculate exact results. Just follow what you know is sound advice. Who cares if they don't like it. If you get the results you want, that is what counts.

Post Op Liquid Diet
I wouldn't go out of your way to stock up on anything just yet. Your tastes might change post-op. Most Protein drinks are easily available at local stores. (costco, GNC etc) Your liquids should be fairly easy to get in each day. You might get some sugar free Popsicles, as they will fill in for something to chew and taste pretty good too.

@ a weight loss stalll Help!
Ok, when you're losing you typically say "i'm losing wieght.....when you not losing, most would say "I stopped losing". However, you said "Stall" , which means you're already assuming it's temporary and you probably read about stalls before. So you know it's only temorary.....so what's all this freaking out about. Relax. The losing will resume.

So, should I be 'disappointed', 'flattered' or 'indifferent'?
I get exactly what your saying.......Same thing happens to me when I look in the mirror and am shocked to find I do not look like the 20 year old my mind thinks I am.........

Sick of hearing......
This is a no win scenario. Everybody's got their own opinion. Also, My belief is everybody is "entitled" to their own opinion as well. So in the interest of privacy, I won't share mine.

HI
OK, here's a thought or two.......I've been around alot longer than you and the only thing that extra stomach provided me is extra room to become very obese. And as far as any death rates......check into the ones for obese people. You wanna be around for your kids....????? You need to get the weight off for good. How is gonna be up to you.

Help...what do I pack for the hospital
Try finding this topic in the "guys" forum.....LOL. I used the shorts & flip flops I wore in to walk the halls. That's it. Didn't need anything else and wore same clothes home. And I was there 3 days. Like I said, probably a guy thing.

Well, I don't know about the crying part, but hang in there.....day one and two are the worst.....easier to handle after that.

when do you start to feel better?
Cmon, let's be realistic, Before the sleeve, if there was a motorized way to get from the house to the car, I would have taken it. I used to work out tons when I was skinny (such a distant memory) But once obese, I figured exercise was pointless. I got exhausted walking thru a store. The sleeve didn't change us overnight. We are still starting out obese and workouts are gonna be super difficult and exhausting. But at least now there is a point to it. The possibility of actually reaching that goal. I used to be embarrassed to even enter the gym. Now I have a kinda smirk that I know something they all don't. I will get this weight off, regardless of their judgmental glaring. speaking of......I'm off to the gym.....less people there in the morning.....LOL.

What's Your Supplement Regimen Look Like?
Waiting on labs but in meantime doing the Trader Joes Multi's and 5k of Biotin (my hair is the last sign of my youth, don't want to lose it) and a couple K of Vit D. Will see from blood test if I need anything else or if I can even forgo what I'm taking now.

Calories & protein per day?
I never ate only 3 ounces of anything before surgery, so I'd probably lose no matter what I ate........But, with only a total of 3 ounces at a time, I've gotta chose wisely if I wanna stay healthy. For now, I keep under 700cal. and close to 100g Protein daily. But along with genders being different, everybody's individual needs will probably be different as well.

Feeling Frustrated
You're gonna get plenty of feedback on solutions for the stall............but what I need to know is........Exactly how do you hide your scale from yourself??? This one has got me really stumped........

Anyone feel dizzy post op
15 months since post op and 6 times today is probably not something normal or routine. Hindsight is not much good when it comes to warning signs. I'd call or go in and see your PCP.

i think my sleeve is making me hate my spouse
I had a post here, but it seem redundant and it wouldn't let me delete it, so I removed it. Carry on......
