  1. Congratulations!! That is a **magical** number, isn't it? I can't wait to get there one day myself!
  2. It does sound like you're doing great! Hope I'm as lucky!!
  3. I'm sorry I can't help you but just know that I'll be wishing good thoughts for you & sending you ((((HUGS)))). Maybe someone here can help or maybe going thru your psych from your Weight Loss program can shed some light on your mood? Hope you find your way out of the dark tunnel soon.
  4. I haven't been sleeved yet but I do have edema. I was given Water pills & have been on them for the past 2 years but suddenly I've been getting severe cramping behind my right leg. So I stopped taking the water pills. I talked to my surgeon about those pills & he said to definitely not take them AFTER being sleeved but in the meantime, to control my edema without taking the water pills, I should drink more water! WHAT?? But they know what they're talking about so I will continue to try to get more down. Are you able to drink more water?
  5. Wishing you the best on your new journey! Can't believe what you've been thru! Sending you happy healthy vibes!
  6. Hi Jill, Hope all goes well for you! I know what you mean, I wish my husband could have come with me too when I met with the surgeon. He actually did but was in the waiting room with our autistic son. So while he drove me there & was there for me (at a distance), I was still meeting with the surgeon alone but all went well. Don't know how it goes with your surgeon but when I met with mine on Monday, we had a group meeting with the other few who will also be getting sleeved about the entire procedure. Sometimes I do think ignorance is bliss because after hearing all he had to say & all the gloom & doom of what could potentially happen, I was nearly going to back out! But then after the group meeting, he took us in one by one in an exam room & did just a bit of pressing on my liver to see how fatty it is & then he just asked if I had any questions (which I did & had them written down). We went over my questions & then I told him how important it was to me to have summer surgery due to my special needs son school schedule & he was so kind & made sure he went to the front desk to tell his secretary to try to get me in for July surgery. So far I'm scheduled for July 16th, unless they don't get my insurance approval back in time (they should!) So it was really no biggie to be meeting with the surgeon alone. Just think of all you'll have to tell your husband when he returns home!! Sending you some Pixie Dust on your appointment & hoping all goes well for you!!

  11. My goodness ~ that's absolutely incredible!!!! Where are your pictures???!!!!! SHARE!!!!!
  12. Wonderful pic & so nice to see you rebuilding memories with being in the family pics....like I hope to!! I had my oldest son take a pic of me last month because there are NO pics of me & if something should happen, my kids should really have a pic of me. I hope to have many taken "after". I'm so glad you had a wonderful time participating in your family reunion! I can only imagine how excited everyone was to see the new you!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful pic! I just LOVE Carmel!!! It's picture perfect!
  13. You are one sexy mama! Thank you for sharing! It gives me hope!
  14. That's a lot of weight you lost & you look fabulous!!! Thank you for sharing!
  15. Oh I can't even imagine ever getting there! Congratulations to you!!! So exciting!!
  16. So glad all went well with your sleeve today! Congratulations to you! Now, I'm no expert & I haven't even been sleeved yet BUT the gas you are having is not the same gas that the Gas X strips help with. I don't know why everyone keeps saying to bring Gas X to the hospital but the gas is all over your abdominal cavity from the doctor having to blow up your tummy to see inside better but the gas you get when you eat Beans (for example) forms in another area of your abdomin & that's when the Gas X strips work. So from all I've read here, the only thing that will help your gas is to walk, walk & walk some more! Good luck to you & please keep us posted on your journey!
  17. Congrats to you!!! I just had my meeting with the surgeon today & he scheduled me for July 16th, providing everything goes thru with my insurance (which I know it will)! Geez...July 1st is right around the corner too!!! Do you feel excited yet nervous? I feel exactly the way I felt when I was going to have my babies! I was so excited yet sooooooooo nervous too!! Please keep us informed of your journey!! Good luck!!
  18. Hi Newlife! While your recipe may not be for everyone, depending what stage they're on, I think everyone can determine if it's on their own Doctor's list or not, so thanks so much! I appreciate you sharing & can't wait to see the rest! For those that can't enjoy your recipe now, maybe in the next phase they can? Like Ms. Skinniness said, it does seems to have a lot of sugar for a diabetic like me (unfair that God's candy ~ fruit ~ can have so much sugar), but I'll be looking forward to your other postings! Thanks so much! I just **LOVE** the sharing on this board! You all are such a great group of people & I feel so blessed to have found this site!
  19. OMG! I'd laugh but it was sad! Crazy woman! Don, don't you be giving anyone any ideas here either!
  20. You are a lucky man no doubt! So happy to hear that you're feeling so good & with all that said, may I borrow your wife after I get sleeved? I'm thinking that even the first day back from the hospital & my kids will be wanting me to take care of something for them or my husband will want me to cook dinner!
  21. I haven't shopped Lane Bryant in years...not because their clothes are too big tho , I love the store Catherine's & I can honestly say, that I will definitely miss shopping there because I really like their clothes! Being that I haven't shopped in a regular store for years, I have no idea what's even out there! LOL! So happy for you all that are ditching Lane Bryant tho!!! Kudo's to you!!!
  22. I can't even imagine how that looks or sticks together but I love cauliflower anyway, so I may give it a try. Do I just go to Pinterest & type in Cauliflower Pizza Crust? Or do you have a link?
  23. That's awesome! I haven't been to the beach since dinosaurs roamed the earth & I think I'm too old now to do so but I get happy hearing of other people experiencing joy!
