    1 Year Post VSG!

Today marks 1 year post op VSG surgery! Down 95lbs and I couldn't be happier!
  2. Hi Everyone! Just wondering if anyone else was going on the Weight Loss Surgery Foundation's Cruise in April? I just booked my spot and I'm really excited! I don't have a roommate yet, so if anyone is thinking of going, please message me! Would love to hang with others who are going and meet some of you, it sounds like a fun time. Here is the link to the website - http://www.wlsfa.org/event/tickets/ Thanks and hope everyone is doing well with their goals! - VSG Joey G

    Anyone from SoCal?

That's great news!! I'm in Los Angeles, was sleeved in Pasadena on 3/28/13 - down 80lbs! Welcome to the club!!!

  5. I was sleeved in March and have lost almost 80lbs. My partner wasn't sleeved but I did most of the shopping and cooking - so needless to say he lost weight by default. But now he's used to smaller portions and just as conscious as what goes in - just like I am. Working out with someone else and trying to get healthy is easier with a buddy for sure! Now it looks like I'm going to be the skinny one in the relationship, and that's a whole other dynamic - but love is love and ultimately we fell in love with each other's personality and looks. I was just as cute before being sleeved as I am now - and I'm sure you are too. So good luck, you guys will be fine!!! Keep us updated! You'll do great!

    March 28th-- Houston

I will definitely stay in touch! Same goes for you!!! I want to know all the details! The shakes haven't bothered me yet, but I'm sure they'll get old. My favorite so far has been the costco ones. I didn't like the isopure but maybe I'll get used to it. Ok! Last weekend before the sleeve! Let's rock this!!!!

    March 28th-- Houston

I am so anxious! I can't even sleep! I had to go in for my surgery pre-op and get x-rays and meet with the nurses. I'm so excited! Thursday can't come soon enough!

    Any March Sleevers?

I'm a March Sleever! March 28th. I was very happy with my decision and set to go, but I was a little nervous this weekend when I heard about the passing. I know there are risks and I'm trying to stay positive. Good luck to all March sleevers. We can do this!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Joe and I'm scheduled for my sleeve on March 28th. I'm nervous and scared, but more importantly I'm scared if I don't get the surgery. I've been obese and overweight my whole life and I just turned 40 and started having medical issues. My partner has been super supportive but I haven't told too many friends. I didn't have a good experience with telling my best friend, so it turned me off. Haven't been to any support groups yet, that's not my scene- but I will say this forum has been amazing! Thanks to all of you and for having an LGBT thread!
  13. Thank you for posting this topic and for all the feedback. I'm scheduled for the 28th and had been very confident in my decision - until I read about the man who passed. I'm still doing all the research and I know it's something I have to do, it's just scary.
