  1. Hi All I'm having my sleeve revision surgery in two weeks and I'm nervous. Just wondering if anyone has had a revision and would love to hear how it's working for you. How long was the recovery the second time around?

  3. Congratulations! I can't wait to join the onederland club!!
  4. I was sleeved on 3/6 and I'm down 51lbs. I'm very proud of my weight loss but I still have some work to do. I'm in no pain at all, but I struggle with exercising. I haven't done any , cause I'm sooo lazy. I also struggle with taking all my vitamins. I need to get on board because I don't want to regain the weight and I want to be healthy. I don't regret my decision to have the surgery. In fact, I wish I would have done it years ago!
  5. 46 pounds since March 5th
  6. I saw my doctor and I pulled a muscle when I was working out. My hospital discharge paperwork stated that I could start working out at 4 weeks (last week for me) but apparently my doctor wanted me to wait 6 weeks (next week for me) before working out. OOPS!! I'm glad it isn't anything serious. I see my surgeon on Friday and I'll have him check everything out again just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the responses!
  7. I've been experiencing a strange cramp on my left side directly under my ribs. It's not very painful on a scale of 1-10 I would say it's between a 1 -2. I'm starting to get concerned because I've had this for 4 days. It gets worse after I eat but still no stronger and a 1.5 to 2. I called my doc and someone is supposed to call me back. Today is Sunday so who knows when I'll get a response. Should I be concerned about a leak. I'm about 5 weeks post op.
  8. I'm in the same boat. I was sleeved on March 5th and started eating soft foods 3 weeks afterwards and I've only lost a pound or two the last two weeks.
  9. I was sleeved on 3/5 by Dr. Nicholson also! How are you doing?
  10. No, I haven't been on any PPI since my surgery. My surgeon requires full liquids for 3 weeks after surgery and then soft foods for an additional 3 weeks. I'm not supposed to have any Jello or pudding for two more days. But I'm very tempted to have something more than liquid Protein drinks! Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on your amazing weight loss!
  11. Thanks for your responses. I've been getting about 50 grams of protein a day. I have two more days of liquids. I've been on liquids for 19 days and I'm so over the liquids! I definitely need to drink more water. I've been thinking about eating some eggs and grits but I'm scared!! Do you think I should try some soft foods two days early or just suck it up for two more days?
  12. I'm absolutely starving. I have to wait 5 more days before I can start soft foods. I'm on full liquids and its not enough. I'm hungry and have no energy. Any advice?
  13. Congrats! I'm still drinking isopure. Its the only protein drink that I like
  14. You can do it. It's just the first day. Don't give up! I was sleeved last Tuesday and I feel great.
  15. Congrats! Welcome to the club. I was sleeved last Tuesday.
  16. Oh, I got the generic Walgreens brand
  17. I got mine from Walgreens. I just put it on and I feel soooo much better. My back feels like its being supported. I was nervous at first so I waited until I left my primary care doctors office. She highly recommends it. I'm a week post op! My boyfriend purchased it for me but I'm sure it didn't cost more than $10-$15.
  18. Has anyone used one? It's on my post op paperwork but no one in the hospital mentioned that I should use it.
  19. I'm 5 days post op and have been hungry also. Im glad that I'm not the only one. I started to think that the surgery didn't work so I tried drinking some extra juice and my little tummy immediately let me know that I've been sleeved!!! I think the hunger is boredom and those darn food commercials! I also avoid the food network at all costs!!!!
  20. Thanks ladies! I will definitely try to walk more. Today is the first time I've been hungry in days. Is this normal? I thought I wasn't supposed to have an appetite or hunger pain for weeks.
  21. I had my surgery on the 5th and the Isopure protein drinks have been a lifesaver! I'm still working on hitting the minimum fluid and protein intake. I need at leat 40 grams of protein and 42oz of fluids. This is harder than I thought it would be but I'm going to do it!
  22. I'm in the same boat. I had my surgery on Tuesday and only told 5 people. My mother doesn't know. My family is in Chicago and I live in Dallas. I know my coworkers will start asking questions and I haven't decided how to respond. I don't know if I'm embarrassed or just being silly. I know we shouldn't care what other people think or say about us but deep down inside I care. No one wants to be talked about behind their backs. I'm going to tell my mom this weekend and slowly decide when or if I tell my coworkers. I know this sounds strange but I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one that's experiencing this. I'm so glad I found this site!
