  1. Aries - It just isn't for me...I thought my initial regret would pass in time, but it hasn't ..it only intensifies..so I am one of the few who truly regret the surgery...if you go to any thread about regret such as Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again? ..I have gone into great detail. In a nutshell, I miss my life before surgery, unhealthy or not. I don't like not being myself. I am not myself, eating & drinking this way. I miss me. I miss my old life. But, it does get easier each day. I am growing to accept my circumstances more each day. Trying to make the best out of one of the worst choices I have ever made. That's all I can do & advise people to make sure it is for them before they do it.
  2. 1. I wish I would have known just how nasty the protein shakes are prior to surgery...I didn't want to give up my "real food" for shakes before surgery (I am food lazy & food addicted)...and now I struggle to get in my protein. My advice - find a shake that works for you! 2. I wish I would have been more thankful& grateful for the life I had prior to surgery. Unhealthy or not, it was my life. Now I am not really me. My advice - make sure you are willing to change who you are... 3. I wish I would have realized the surgery wasn't for me, but there was no way for me to know that ...I did everything I should have to get ready for surgery...my advice - make sure wls is for you.
  3. I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. Best of luck to you.
  4. I am 5'10"...I was 287 the day of my surgery. I was 303 the day I walked into my dr's office for the first time about a year ago. I am nearing 11 weeks out. Best of luck to you.
  5. I dread this more than anything...I started taking 10000 Biotin, prenatal Vitamins, and using Biotin/Collagen shampoo/conditioner. I am using little to no products on my hair, and doing little to do styling. I don't do the shakes, so I know I am not getting the Protein...I will lose lots of hair, I dread it. Best of luck to you. I don't think a little dietary fat would hurt, I will try it, too!
  6. What did your dr say about scarring? Congrats on all your success! You are one brave chic to post these, you go, girl!
  7. You probably overdid it. Make sure you get your fluids & protein in..and your rest the first few weeks. Best of luck to you. Take care!
  8. Get in your fluids & work on protein...and you will be fine. Take care. Good luck!
  9. I take all the Bs mentioned above, too...I had to sign a bunch of papers when I had my surgery that if I didn't take them...brain damage irreversible could be a possibility.
  10. Water & Protein are critical....you will feel better & feel like walking. I know exactly what you mean with the struggle. I am 10 wks out...and still struggle with it. I had to take 4 bags of iv fluids in my dr's office. It gets a little easier each day, but I know I need to work more at it. Best of luck to you. Take care.
  11. I take 10,000... 2 of the Walmart brand daily & prenatal...I dread the hair loss...
  12. Contact your doctor. Wish you the best.
  13. Go back to the basics...protein, Water, and mix up your exercise routine. You may want to mix up your food, too. You may just be bored with the routine you were in...try a new routine. If you aren't writing down your food, you may want to do that for a bit...so you can keep a check on how many sweets like the mm's & ice cream you mentioned that you're having, so it doesn't get out of control. Best of luck to you! Take care!
  14. I told one. This one is going to the grave with me. People can be mean, intentionally & unintentionally. My advice is to tell no one...once you tell someone...it's out there, you can't take it back... Best of luck to you. Do what you feel is best for you & your life.
  15. I am ten weeks out...hang in there. It does get better. Focus on your Water and Protein as best as you can; it is critical those first few weeks in order to feel better.j Best of luck to you! Take care!
  16. Contact your dr to be safe.
  17. I haven't started losing mine yet...but I am taking Biotin, prenatal Vitamins, using Organix Biotin & Collagen shampoo/conditioner from Walmart, and stopped using alot of styling products or tools. Best of luck to you.
