  1. Awesome!! Congrats!!
  2. The lat machine at the gym is good for this. I can't swim, but they say swimming is really good for it, also. Mine is not gone, but much less of it. I am nearing 13 weeks out... Good luck!
  3. I haven't been out to eat but a couple of times since my surgery ( I am nearing 13 weeks)...I use the I'm not feeling that well excuse and I am doing WW again to explain why I am not eating what I did once upon a time...and box up what I have left over.. Good luck!
  4. It takes awhile for things to back to normal . . .I am 12 weeks out - still not normal...
  5. The mind is a tricky thing..I can relate to what you said...at 5'10"...I remember being 155-160 lbs most of my high school years (which was a great weight for me)...and feeling fat & huge every day, doing extreme diets & extreme exercise all the time...I thought I had to weigh 125 lbs because Cindy Crawford (model) was my height and weighed that...quite honestly, I felt as fat & huge, then, as I did at 300+. .. . Now, 20 years later, I want to weigh 165-175, I think anything less - I will lose my vavoom...and I don't want that. I have accepted my curves. I want to keep them! I plan to beat my mind at this - I plan on making daily affirmations, looking at pics, I have a dress hanging on my close for a visual...doing whatever it takes to feel good about myself once and for all, regardless of what Mr. scale says or my clothing tags. Great job on the loss! Best of luck to you!
  6. Week 3 by my nut...it is one of go-to's
  7. I told no one except my family dr & my neurosurgeon ( I see each once month)...I didn't want anyone to know or to worry. I initially told everyone I was going to have it when I started the year long process, but a week before surgery...I told everybody I backed out of it. People can be intentionally and unintentionally mean...and I have enough to deal with...everybody is different about it....do what is best for you and your situation.
  8. Mine is in my garage now! I get on the scale once a week at WW & that's it. Mr. Scale has had too much power over me for waaayyyy tooooo long! Good for you! Congrats!
  9. I give water the evil eye every day....a struggle I will have to keep fighting...
  10. Nearly 13 weeks out... Best - weight loss has improved my mobility - which was my reason for wls... Hardest - the mental/emotional part - I still regret it...
  11. Congrats! Awesome! I cannot wait to live in onderland again....I lived there in 2004 briefly for the first time in 15 years...I am ready to live there permanently!!
  12. I've had bque & ketchup...not alot...I had no problems. I LOVE both, but I used very, very little...I am nearly 13 weeks out...
  13. Congrats on the loss - 30 lbs is awesome! Everybody is different. You don't want to get on the scale every day - gives Mr. Scale to much power. Start your day with a shake & Water. Drink/sip all day. I am nearly 13 weeks out...and I still struggle...don't be like me...get your water in & your Protein in...whatever it takes. Best of luck to you!
  14. You made some interesting points... ...I think self-love, self-acceptance, and self-esteem are critical when attracting a quality man or woman...or just simply being comfortable with who you are in your own skin, regardless of what Mr. scale says or a clothing tag. No, offense, fellas...but I think men are much more judgmental on appearance than women are...at least from where I am from... I agree self-confidence is very important.
  15. I hope I can figure out how to do this...thanks for starting this post - I had no idea you could do it! Yay!
  16. I've had the Bush's Vegetarian canned baked beans...they went down easy...but it was easy to go the restroom shortly, thereafter...
  17. I was able to at 3 weeks by my nut guidelines . . .it is one of my go-to's . . .it goes down easy & I love pb!
  18. Don't give Mr. Scale too much power... my advice only get on him once a week...I have mine in the garage now!
