  1. I used Isopure RTD during my clear liquid phase - it was also one of the two drinks they gave me at the hospital. Remember to only drink half the bottle as 40g of protein is more than our bodies can take in at one time. I would continue to use it as a meal replacement but not for every meal every day. You're right about it not being very filling tho, never thought of that.
  2. Water is a joke for relieving the burn. What you want is milk because it washes the oil off of your tongue. You can build up a tolerance for spicy food, you just have to keep eating it.
  3. Doesn't sodastream make carbonated beverages?
  4. I would definitely say so. One restaurant order usually results in 2 (sometimes 3) meals in leftovers. My wife started taking home more leftovers as a result of me doing it.
  5. Um, yeah Amy, sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that. You're gonna burn less calories at a lower weight than you did when you were heavier. The more you lose, the faster/more intense you'll have to work. I got reminded of this just recently - when I was over 400lbs I was burning 100 calories every 5 minutes at moderate intensity. Now I'm only burning 80 or so. However, I'm seeing benefits now that I wasn't then so that's something.
  6. I wish I could send you a hug - kids are little reflections of their parents and some of them are assh*les. Besides, you being fat is temporary.
  7. Of course you do! (sorry - in a silly mood today)
  8. This explains so much! (I'm a Capricorn )
  9. How far out from surgery are you and did you eat the peel?
  10. I burned 1500 calories the weekend before surgery mowing, trimming, and edging my lawn!

My first attempt with eggs hurt as I was sure I could easily eat one . Haven't tried since but I will.
  12. I prefer the chocolate splendor - it tastes richer to me.
  13. No, dehydration is not normal. You should be sipping CONSTANTLY. They had me doing a log that was detailed in 15 min increments. I put a checkmark each time I took a sip. I was able to start with a sip = half an ounce at a time and increase it to 1 ounce at a time (using a shot glass ).
  14. I was discharged on full fluids so I did a strained tomato bisque a few days after surgery with no issues. Some people so have issues with V8, tomato juice, etc. Maybe start with a quarter cup and see how do you with it.
  15. Muscle Milk has too much sugar in it. Have you tried other brands of Protein shakes?
  16. Your surgeon approved pita as a soft food? I kinda miss it and can't wait to have some again with saganaki (sp?)!
  17. French tickler?
  18. You can mix unflavored unjury into soups, but they need to be < 140 degrees and I *highly* recommend using a Magic Bullet or something like it. I'm guessing that the other unflavored brands are similar.
  19. Happy Father's Day to you too Sir! Thanks for posting the link - I'm going to need to refer to it again.
  20. Maybe not, but whatever it is I'm willing to bet it's their issue and not yours. You be the best you, don't be afraid to initiate flirting if you have to, and the right man will come.
  21. There is no shame in asking for help when you need it.
  22. This. Right. Here. Y'all, we don't have the luxury of missing meals anymore. It has to be a priority (and yes I needed this scolding as much as y'all do).
  23. I did my normal 25 minutes with no problem. That day 2.5 was comfortable for me but I hardly get above 2.8 - compared to most people I walk slow anyway. Now that I'm up to 30 minutes I'm going to start working on going faster and faster until I can run.
