"It takes a special kind of stupid to forget to eat..."
Can't speak for everyone but hungry for me is different now. I still get pangs but they feel different and my head starts to hurt if I've been too long without a meal. Full feels different also - before surgery, full almost felt good and satisfying. After surgery, full hurts. I have to pay attention when i eat because my sleeve will send me a signal and I have to stop at the first signal or more food will leave me doubled-over for almost an hour.

How much did everyone lose before surgery?
I had three months insurance-mandated nut visits/supervised weight loss. I was told to maintain or lose but do NOT gain. I lost 50 lbs prior to surgery. I am a type 2 diabetic as well, I don't believe it had any impact on my weight loss one way or the other. i will tell you my surgeon took me off of metformin immediately after surgery and I haven't had (or needed) any since.

need more food
Great suggestions in this thread. The only thing I'd add is that you might consider eating (or Protein shake) more often by not waiting as long for each meal. Lastly, you might need to add a meal to your day.

body by vi shakes
My surgeon made me buy two bags of Bariatric Advantage for my two-week preop liquid diet but i was not allowed to have them after surgery because of the Fiber content. If i recall correctly, body by vi has some fiber in it. if so, you could probably have them again down the line.

No worries and no need to apologize! So where is your favorite place to get Quest bars? I've only seen them at GNC.

oh just freaking perfect
I was told that the itching is good and a sign that they're healing. The yellowish, greenish pus is a different story but easy enough to fix. You'll be fine!

How much time did you take off work?
Sure. I could have gone back after the first week, but my employer authorized three weeks!

How far out from surgery are you?

Weight of bike
If you're doing what your surgeon tells you, you should lose weight but not strength.

BM question. I know... Sorry!
Even Protein shakes should produce a little waste. 28 days seems a lot, call your surgeon.

protein bars = depression?
My surgeon warned us that this sort of thing could happen and not to be reluctant to ask for help. Even my insurance rep said the same thing when she called me. No one has to know. I've had episodes of this where I can't even drag myself to do the cardio. We may not have all the answers, but you're not alone.

I was stuck and now I gained 3 lbs... IM FREAKING OUT

First time hospital patient and will be getting sleeved mid-july
Pretty much! In my case, the anesthesiologist said he would give me something to make me relax. I assumed he meant into my IV bag and he must have done it when I wasn't looking. I walked to the surgery room, laid on the table, was talking to the nurses and the next thing I know I'm in the recovery room.
- You have been warned...
