Heart Rate Monitor?
(Yes I'm stalking you ) So what did you decide? I forgot to tell you that the day before my surgery, I put on the heartrate monitor while I did the lawn and burned over 1500 (not a typo) calories!

What, no duck face? Seriously tho, well done!

When can you shake?
I was discharged on full liquids which included shakes for me. Get yourself some Isopure RTD - that's considered a clear and has comparable protein to any of the shakes.

Searching the house for receipts right now!

Bike
As long as you stay away from the BMX trails you should be fine. (seriously tho, always consult with your surgeon for the final ok on stuff like this, even if it seems harmless)

What to expect post op?
My wife took two days off - the day of surgery and the day after and I was on my own after that and did well. We live in a two story home and I was told it would be okay to walk the steps as I needed to.

So im curious....
I completely understand. I'd drink and eat at the time for as long as I could remember. I kinda like it now, I think I can taste the food better. Everyday it amazes me - I eat half a cup of food and it almost feels like I just had Thanksgiving dinner. I don't eat like a girl, I eat less than a girl! I got a one-meat brisket plate last Friday to take home and was still working on leftovers a day ago!

So im curious....
I am four weeks and a few days out. Before surgery I could easily down a 12 inch sub. Now I'd be lucky to finish just half the meat on a six inch. Forget the bread at this point. So far I haven't noticed any change in my taste except that the idea of consuming large amounts of food at one time no longer interests me.

Single... but to shy to mingle
There's probably more guys than you think going "wow, she's a doll but she'd never talk to me."

Diet coke
Remember those scenes from the Alien movies where the parasite rips itself from the host through the chest? That's what Diet Coke does to your new sleeve True story.

Be honest - does anyone regret the surgery?
i'm 50. i've only been sleeved for a little over 4 weeks. I've had to make changes in my life and i will never eat the same again. Would i have the surgery again with what I know now? I'd have it without question. I've proven in the past that I can take off 50 pounds with just a bit of effort. Problem is, it always comes back. The sleeve gives me a fighting chance this time.

Preference: To mix with water or milk?
The motor-driven ones are starting to become more popular. Personally, if it had the power to destroy a banana like a Magic Bullet does I'd get one. Otherwise, i'm okay with my shaker. Besides making a delicious drink, i get a bicep/tricep workout as well!

Calories?
Sounds like the dreaded 3 week stall people talk about here. I've been dealing with stalls almost every week since my two-week preop diet. Everyone seems to have a different way to break them. This might be useful: Weight Loss Stall or Plateau Explained

Preference: To mix with water or milk?
Good luck making a shake in the car! (sorry, I have a magic bullet and it's great. i actually have several shakers, two at home, one at work, and one I carry with me when I expect to be out for awhile.)

Preference: To mix with water or milk?
All you need is a shaker bottle with a ball for the fruity ones. i've never had an issue with clumping with those. can't speak for the chocolate or vanilla flavors.
