  1. I was the exact same way. I was suppose to stick w clears but went ahead and added full liquids. I am sure my doctor will slap my wrist Monday. But then again if he doesn't move me to puréed I may bite his head off!
  2. I saw powdered ranch dressing mix at Costco. Plan to try it next time. Maybe w Greek yogurt
  3. My doc said to let them come off naturally. They did all at about a week. I didn't cover them in the shower. It felt good to clean them. The only incision bothering me is on that is in a "roll" and of course that's the largest one. It's completely healed over though. I'm am 11 days out
  4. Try Knorrs tomato bouillon. It's high in sodium but a few sips does wonders to cut all the sweet.
  5. I only told a few select people. I suddenly found myself in a dilemma a couple of days when some moms at the school got curious because I couldn't drive. I don't need the additional stress from gossips or even well meaning people. I had not considered the possibility that someone would actually ask questions so quickly. So - I lied. I know in a year or do I will come clean. Just wasn't ready so quickly.
  6. Glad you had it checked out. Did they tell you why this would happen almost a month post op?
  7. I am one week post op today. I have had no issues with nausea pain or acid. I can get 60 grams of Protein daily with two premiers that I split in half. liquids are not an issue. I also have no problem with sipping. I am able to take a normal size. Somehow this doesn't seem right to me. I thought it would be much harder. Now the psychological part is harder than I anticipated.
  8. Definitely post stuffed mushrooms!
  9. My kids would eat this. Sounds yummy
  10. Contact your doc or go to the ER. That is the number one symptom of a blood clot.
  11. I am a week out. Mentally it is much harder than I anticipated. It's not that I don't feel full. I don't feel satisfied. I also have two small children so avoiding food and meals is not an option. I know it will get easier but going through it is much much harder than I ever thought. Doesn't matter how motivated you are - because I was - I know two weeks from now will be different. Wish I could fast forward.
  12. I am right there with you. I was sleeved on the 9th.my doctor said TWO weeks on clears but there is no way. I even have home made broth but with the two previous weeks its just ridiculous. I just today realized that I am wanting something that isn't fruity or sweet. Something that just tasted like food w more consistency than Water.
  13. Ok this post op is getting me! I'm suppose to be clears for two weeks. Full liquids for one and then puréed. I am one week post op today. I have no problem with getting my fluids in but not my protein. I am sick of the shakes (after the two week pre op and now post op - it's just too long). I have looked for variety but haven't found anything I could stand except the premier and I am over chocolate at this point. I feel like I am obsessing about food. I'm not hungry but I'm not full either. So far nothing has been a problem. It's like I need variety or something that makes me feel fuller. I can't sort it out. UGH!!!
  14. Try a heating pad. Sounds like gas
  15. Can't wait to try this on the puréed stage. Counting the days
  16. I'm right there with ya!
  17. I am in the exact position. I didn't see this coming and the adjustment has been hellish. I am only four days out but so frustrated with feeling hungry and full all at the same time. I know everyone says it will get better a I do believe this but getting through the is harder than I anticipated.
  18. My doc said specifically to avoid the Special K products
  19. So I was sleeved on the 9th and today has been a struggle. I didn't think it would be difficult to get protein or liquids in but it is. I have some gas pains but not excessive. I am struggling w head hunger of all things. Today I just wanted to eat. Something. Anything. But I feel full. Couldn't even stomach a few sips of my moms homemade broth. How am I going to survive the next week???? I don't go to the doctor until the 20th.
  20. This is good to hear. I am completely adverse to liquid meds and am struggling right now w the calcium and other clotting med. I can't imagine more meds crushed and mixed!
