Just take things 1 day at a time. I went into my surgery thinking I was going to be down 100 pounds after a month. (I was pretty disappointed.) It's a process and an early stall is most likely due to your body needing to catch up. I would still take the chewable vitamins because you stomach is still healing and will have a big problem breaking down solid pills. Just do your best and try to rest.

It is normal to have periods of time when you won't lose weight we call this a stall and it is perfectly normal. I also used to be able to take pills very easy and now it is harder. I was sleeved May 7th and it gets easier each day to take the pills I just take them slowly. I do the chew-able Vitamins because the large ones are too hard to swallow. Nothing is normal the first few months so try not to worry. Believe me the weight will come off you will stall and then lose all of the sudden.

I had the same thing yesterday. Felt like I pulled a muscle. I think as we heal and start to do more it can get sore. I woke up today and it was better. I'm 18 days PO.

Well I'll be 8 months out from surgery on Monday. Did another before/after pic. Weight loss is definitely slowing down but I'm quite close to my goal and perfectly content where I am. I wouldn't mind dropping a few more pounds and I'm still losing, just slowly (7 pounds in the last 7 weeks). Overall though I feel a million times better.... I've gone from a 3XT/4X shirt to a regular Large shirt and waist was as big as a 50 at one point but generally a 46/48 and now down to a 34.
    Absolutely ZERO regrets!

I went through phases of enjoying eating and not enjoying eating. But it's important to get the Protein in so I just found that if I made my own I enjoyed it more. I can't stomach another egg atm so I have a shake every morning for Breakfast LOL

I'm 3 yrs out and it stil tastes yucky to me. I think my tastebuds got changed and don't stimulate my brain. I don't know. I was 295lbs with diabetes and high blood pressure so VSG fixed that. Yay!! But my taste buds are all different. Anyone else out there? I don't enjoy food. Can your brain disconnect the joy part?

Totally normal. At 4.5 months out I don't like sweets, bread, Pasta and more. But it's not a lost because I didn't need them anyway. But everyone is different. Your taste buds will improve.

Isn't it funny that people are so discriminating against weight loss surgery? And yet they have no problem with injecting their faces with toxins or augmenting their boobs. How do those things help their "health"? Weight loss surgery has a direct benefit on the health of the patient. Sure we can lose some weight dieting but it more than likely comes back after the diet. This is not a "cosmetic procedure" but a "life saving procedure" and should be respected as such.

I was just starting mushy foods at your stage...I remember that my NUT's main advice at that point was to get fluids in, so I would say you are on track there...I might have been eating more like 400-500 calories per day around 3 weeks out, but I was having more problem getting fluids in than soft foods and Protein

ruthie74 reacted to Vixynne in fever?
I was sleeved July 1st and I started running a low-grade temp as soon as I got home on the 3rd.
I called my surgeon's office and was told the same thing as Ruthie. As long as it doesn't go above 101, don't panic. Meanwhile, I take the liquid Vicodin my doc prescribed, to keep the fever at bay and take the edge off my incision pain. I'm trying not to take it very often, but once or twice a day is still necessary for me.
