  1. I forgot to hit quote message so you'll know who the question is to.
  2. how have you lost so much weight so quickly? What's your secret?
  3. Hi Wasabutt, since you don't like eating fruit why not put frozen raspberries in your choc. shake. Then you get the benefit of your fruit, and not from dried (which I thought was higher in sugars)
  4. I was told I couldn't eat salads. I'm 6 weeks out and have been scared to try. Does anyone who's 6 months or more out have problems or is it just another " some people do and some people don't". I felt being "stuck" last night for the first time and believe me I won't try anything that I knowingly know that could get me stuck. I also lost 26 lbs. in 3 1/2 weeks and am stuck. Has anyone gone on a "diet" after being banded? What's the trick to get the scale to move?
  5. Hi! A frittata is mostly made of eggs. If there is something in it like mushrooms they sometimes leave a brown liquid from juice that runs out but I can make a big one and fridge it for a couple of days. Not good frozen though.
  6. I was banded on the 11th also. I don't start mushies until Sat. I'm still trying to figure the difference between now and then. My doc said anything in a blender, yogurt, puddings ok this week. Except for cottage cheese and eggs I can't think of anything else that would be a mushy that I don't eat now. How many times a day are you eating? How was your surgery? I've felt great since day 5.
  7. Hi! My favorite are at Wal-Mart. Come in a clear bag witha big sugar free, about 12 for $1.50. coconut is yummy!
  8. Where did you get this infomation on the protein quality?
  9. what kind of exercises are you doing a month out. The booklet said walking only for 4-6 weeks.
  10. From what I'm reading you have lost 65lbs. since 4/4. Awesome! I want to know EVERYTHING you did. I plan on giving this my all, especially if I can have results like you. When I went to by-pass support group they said one day they could eat something and the next day it could make them "dump". Sounds like the band produces the same results.
  11. so basically with gastric by-pass you have dumping and with banding you PB. Great! What is sliming? read about that now? What about my other questions about bread, etc.
  12. Hi! I have read so much on this forum and really need the info but wondered why foods "stick" if you are chewing 30 times. Can you not eat bread because of carbs or you can't process it? Are these foods off limit forever or just in the beginning? I cancelled by-pass surgery in May but sounds like you still have the same limits with potential digesting problems. Also, what does PB mean?
  13. what food ways did you follow immediately after surgery? When did you have surgery?
  14. I haven't made my mind up 100% to do bypass or band. What do you mean it didn't take?
