- Im going to eat one if my f*%ki&g dogs!
I was 18 when it happened, so I was pretty devastated. That was 20 years ago, though. Where I live we had a Chinese restaurant get shut down for "unidentifiable meat". I love Chinese food. And I actually loved that one! In had even stood up for them. One day we were getting tires put on our car at the shop next door and we were looking for some lunch. The tire salesperson told us not to go over there, because he saw them break open a box of chicken and spill it everywhere. He told us then they picked it up and put it back in the box and took it in the restaurant. I told the guy they probably took it in to throw it away. He was adamant that they should have thrown it in the dumpster. Imagine my surprise 2 weeks later, when the restaurant failed their health inspection because of "unidentifiable meat" and they specifically cited them for dropping chicken on the floor and serving it! So the way I look at it..,we all have probably ate some jacked up crap that we never even knew about!- In need of nighttime snack ideas
When I did Atkins back in the day, as one of my many failed attempts at losing weight, I found a simple recipe to help when I was jello'd and pudding'd out. Just mix 1/4 c. Ricotta cheese 1/8-1/4 of a teaspoon of almond extract (start with 1/8 and taste to see if you want more) 1 packet of Splenda. Mash it together with a spoon. It helped curb my appetite for richer Desserts. It really does taste much better than you would think. I even made it some when I was not dieting.- Im going to eat one if my f*%ki&g dogs!
Yeah. Pretty tragic. They ate a Mastiff, too. Not sure why they wasted time on my little cat. Maybe she was an appetizer!- Omg omg! Approved today!
I am so excited for you!- Im going to eat one if my f*%ki&g dogs!
I had a kitten who got eaten! She got out and was lost for a couple weeks. Then the police came to my door with her collar and told me that they found it in the back yard of a neighbor who had been charged with eating domestic animals. They were suspected to have eaten quite a few neighborhood pets.- liquor
I am 6 weeks out and I haven't drank anything yet. My doctor said no alcohol for 6 weeks...but I am continuing because of the empty calories!- Damn I don't know what to do!
Permanent is good! . I say this because I have been fighting this battle all my life! So I personally needed a permanent solution! And the quality of life is so good with this surgery. I am 6 weeks out and I feel so amazing. I have so much energy, and I am able to eat solid foods today! Woo Hoo! And I am down well over 40 lbs. I do understand your nerves, because this is big. You are committing to live healthier. You are choosing to love yourself more than you love food! But it's a good thing, I promise!- Im going to eat one if my f*%ki&g dogs!
This is an epic thread! And I love it! ha ha.- Zumba
Understandable. I keep my Water close to me and take a drink in between every song. I usually take a decent sized drink, and then swallow is slowly once it is in my mouth! The best part of Zumba is that there will be every kind of fitness level in the class. Some beginners, some experts. Some who will do high impact, and some who will do very low. Just find your personal pace and have fun. The first few times I went, sometimes I had to just focus on legs and not worry about the arms actions. I didn't jump or do any kind of high impact. But there were others just like me!- Top Secret!
- Leaving for mexico today and....

I have been doing Zumba since 3 1/2 weeks out, without issue! Have fun!- Panera's Hidden Menu
This is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing! I am a frequent customer at Panera!- sluggish?
I noticed a change in energy from day to day, too. Some days, I feel like the Energizer bunny is powering me. Other days, I can't keep my eyes open. :/ It does seen to be evening out some at 6 weeks post-op.- 229lbs today that 59 lbs down in 16wks :)
This is so awesome!!! Congrats to you, and keep kicking butt!- Not sure I understand the pureed diet.
My stage 3 was "puréed or mushy". So I stuck with mushy. Cottage cheese was mushy, so I didn't have to do anything else to it. I did food process chicken, and other meats. It made it more like the texture in a chicken salad or pulled pork. I then took small bites and chewed a lot. I am now 6 weeks out and eating reg foods.- My time has come!
Woo Hoo! It's the final countdown!!!- Today is my day!
You will be in my prayers! It is is going to be awesome! ))- Forest Park Medical in Dallas closing?
That is crazy. I did a search for news about them, and the only stuff that came up about them closing was this thread. And I found several recent job postings, that were put up this month. But I guess you never know, this is a tough economy.- On my way to the hospital to get sleeved!(:
I will be praying for you today! I am so excited for you!- Did everyone hve to give up caffiene?

But in will tell you, despite the fact I was a total caffeine addict, too,,,I am 6 weeks out and I have not started drinking it again. It just feels amazing to not have any vices, you know? Plus in have been sleeping so much better without caffeine.- I DID IT!
You are a total rock star! Congrats!!! That is awesome!!!- new addiction anyone?
My husband and kids bought me Keurig last year for Mother's Day. I miss my coffee. My dr. actually allows regular coffee 2 weeks post/op. but I have been sleeping better than ever...so I hAven't started back up. I do drink a decaf once in awhile.- nail polish
