  5. THERE IS NO DOUBT I WOD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN TODAY!!!!! This surgery is the BOMB and I'd skate back into the OR today if needed!!!! I had sx March 21 and am 50lbs down. 316 to 266. Still have a small issue with tiredness but birds getting better. Find a good surgeon, follow the rules, and get your ass fit and healthy!!!! I was a major food addict and now if I want a sweet something then I take a bite or two. The craving is gone and no harm done. I think a lot of people think that after a sleeve your life is like boot camp but I'm here to say it frees you from the constant thinking of food!!!! Like a weight is gone! I eat WHATEVER I want but just smaller amounts. That's it!!!! PSOE say its not a magic bullet bullet but I'm here to say its damn close!!!! Love it!!!!

  8. I'm still stuck in the protein shake nightmare. Can't WAIT till I can actually chew something then swallow it!!! I can get a 11 oz protein shake down in around 30 min. Lost 20lbs though!
  9. So your actual body weight if you lost 100% of your excess weight would be like 100lbs?? I've seen people with the bypass that look sick actually and I really don't want to get that low.
  10. I was sleeved 1 week ago today and I've been thinking, just how much will I actually lose? Oddly enough I don't want to get "too" small. I started at 316 and would like to land around 200-220. I think I would look like an alien if I went to 165 or so!!!

  12. Thank you so much!!!! I am SO encouraged by that!!! I am post op day 4 and having some "what did I do" feelings!!!
  13. Thank you! Thats encouraging!! Also, I'm still feeling uncomfortable sensations after I drink and it hits my stomach. Feels like when you'd drink coke on a very empty stomach and you'd get that stomach spasm feeling. Will that ever leave??
  14. When were you sleeved?
  15. Am I (do we) have to stay on protein supplements for life??? Thats a pretty discouraging thought!!!
  16. Hello all. I was recently sleeved on March 21 and I have some issues to discuss. I'm not saying I regret this thing yet.....yet. I just started on protein shakes today and they're not the worst thing I've put in my mouth. My problem lies with me feeling so nonchalant about the sleeve. I researched this for well over a year, talked to people who've had it, etc but the permanentness of it has me down. I'm not really craving food but I'd like to try some. I've lost 16 lbs total and right now couldn't care less. I'm a 37 y/o man and have never been depressed but this has got me down now. Also I have diarrhea to boot!!! Lol!! I guess I'm just scared I'll regret this thing later on.

  18. I had the sleeve on March 21 and am 3 days post op and am trying to get my liquids in. It's getting easier and hopefully will continue to do so!!!
  19. I sure hope this does get better. I can't tell when I'm full of liquids so I don't drink as much fearing I'll throw up. I hope I can get on here one day and say it was all so worth it to a newbie who is doubting their decision. Would it be wrong to drink regular Gatorade?? I drink nothing but sugar free anyway but I feel the taste might help some.
  20. Couldn't find it.
  21. Couldn't find it.
  22. That's exactly how I feel now!! I've researched this like crazy and even hunted people down that I knew had it and picked their brains and it all just seemed the right thing to do. I know it'll get better (I hope!) and I'm looking forward to that time. I'm just ready for the pain and discomfort and weakness/tiredness to be gone!! And to top it off I have diarrhea!! Lol!
  23. I do hope the happiness with my decision does come. I have wonderful support from my wife and family.
