  4. Welcome and good luck with your journey!!
  5. Happened to me about 4 days post op. Some protein helped tremendously. But when in doubt check with your surgeon and nut
  6. Last night I was finally able to sleep on my left side. It was Awesome!!
  7. Try drinking hot tea or something warm. I couldn't tolerate water the first few days.
  8. I'm doing really good. Down 9lbs since surgery. Went back to work yesterday. A little bit of pain left at biggest incision but not too bad. Counting down till I can have some food
  9. I was discharged around 8 the next morning.
  10. I am in Northern OK and had surgery with Dr. Broussard on the 12th. I'm in OKC several times a month so I plan my visits for days I can go to support group. Which I have found very helpful. I have told very few people about my surgery.....I've been lucky that the people I have shared with have been very supportive.
  11. I think that is a pretty common feeling. It helps me to think of the end result to help me focus and get through the tough times. You can do this! Hang in there!
  12. My surgeon isn't as worried with the protein the first 2 weeks as he is with the fluids. The fever could be caused by dehydration. Definitely get in touch with your surgeon and report the symptoms. What meds are you taking? Are they completely necessary right now? If so maybe you could talk with the pharmacy and see if they come in liquid form.
  13. Sorry your having a tough time. I would contact your surgeon and report the symptoms. After surgery I found I couldn't tolerate plain water. Hot tea works best for me. Good luck and keep us posted!!
  14. I think you will find lots of support and advice here that is fitting. You can't be the only one going through this. Stick around there is lots of good info here!!
  15. Congrats on your weight loss. Sounds like you have made the lifestyle changes to be successful. I'm afraid I can't offer much advise being only a week out. But have you thought about seeing a therapist? Maybe they would be able to help some. As for your "friends" it spins like you need new ones! They don't sound supportive at all. Sorry your having a hard time. But be proud of your accomplishments!!
  16. Worry about starting a new diet every Monday Worry what people think of me
  17. My user id is: webblarsk. I would love to have some friends to help keep me in check. I'm only a week out so not using it right now. But will be using it next week when I add food to my diet
  18. I'm sure that is very frustrating. Is there a support group you can attend? A nut you can visit with?
  19. A week out today. Went back to work and boy am I pooped! And head hunger is kicking my butt today.
