Tryingtobringsexyback got a reaction from molliec in Anyone use Bailey Bariatrics in Owasso Oklahoma?
If my insurance would pay for my surgery I would definitely go to Dr. Varnell or Dr. Katsis. Since I'm paying cash I'm going to Mexico. I work for Oklahoma Surgical Hospital in Tulsa and dr varnell and dr. Katsis (surgical associates inc.) are part owners and do all of their other surgerys where I work. They are awesome drs and super nice guys also. I do MRI/cat scan/xray and I used to work in the OR and when you work in the OR you get a behind the scenes look at how the docs really are and how they treat the surgery staff and I can say these two docs are top notch and treat others well. Some docs not so much and are really as**oles in the or. Anyone choosing bailey bariatric should know they are in good hands. I hope this helps some people. My name is Joanne and I live in broken arrow and I am getting sleeved on march 2nd by dr. Guillermo Alvarez. Excited but nervous.

Tryingtobringsexyback got a reaction from zoftig in Dr. Alavrez patients...
I went by myself on march 2013. I was just fine. I was glad to not have to jump through all the hoops the doctors here make you go through. The nutrition/ food information they give you is very thorough. Plus you will get a book when you leave. Also, this forum is a great source if info. I have lost 52 lbs and I couldn't be happier. My husband will be there on July 18 th by himself. We have 3 little kids so we each came alone.

Tryingtobringsexyback got a reaction from sastexan4u@yahoo.com in 4days out of surgery
I was sleeved march 2nd. I am four days out. Today I've managed 1 packet of unjury chicken Soup flavored Protein powder in 16oz of Water. One Isopure bottle and a can of beef broth and one Popsicle. I think sipping all day is in our future. Oh and a little grap juice. I'm stressed out making sure I get it all in.

Tryingtobringsexyback reacted to BigDaddyJoe in Any March Sleevers?
Hi all, I decided to go through this post and try to make a list of people getting it done and the day they are doing it, in case you'd like to make a buddy. I did my best to include everyone. I didn't include anyone who had tentative days, or days they were 'hoping for'. Sorry if I left anyone out. Feel free to take it and edit it if I made any mistakes.

I have no pain and I not hungry just don't have too much energy since I have not ate anything solid for a while. I am on my 7 day clear liquid diet just drank/ate a bowl of the Unjury chicken broth and it tasted solo good I feel much better now that I ate that

Tryingtobringsexyback reacted to scsleever in Post-surgery hotel stay and flight back home- what did you eat?
I'm trying to figure out what to pack for my surgery next week. I'll have the two nights at the hotel, and then a full day of travel back to my home. What will I be able to drink...especially for Protein? I'm packing some Injury chicken Soup, and wondering if Protein Powder would be a waste of space in my suitcase. Plus, if I have to bring all those packets of powder back to the U.S. because I didn't use them, the Border Agents might pull me aside!

I'm only telling people I work closely with because I'm taking 3 weeks off and they will wonder where I've been. I couldn't lie and say it was something else.
