  1. Can anyone recommend a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck, breast implants and thigh lift? Mainly a doc that can do a good thigh lift. I lost 80 lbs and had my surgery in Mexico. I live in Tulsa area. Thanks in advance
  2. I went by myself on march 2013. I was just fine. I was glad to not have to jump through all the hoops the doctors here make you go through. The nutrition/ food information they give you is very thorough. Plus you will get a book when you leave. Also, this forum is a great source if info. I have lost 52 lbs and I couldn't be happier. My husband will be there on July 18 th by himself. We have 3 little kids so we each came alone.
  3. I live in Broken Arrow also. I was sleeved on march 2nd with Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. I have lost 45 already. Good luck.
  4. I didn't have much pain at all. I was just dizzy and a little nauseous the first two days. I have had. 3 c-sections and they were worse.
  5. You sound just like me. I kept thinking i should just go on another diet. Losing it was always the easy part it was keeping it off that was the hard part. I had tried every diet and lost but always gained it back plus more. I was sleeved march 2, 2013 by Dr. Alvarez and i have lost 44 lbs so far. It has been awesome besides really bad reflux. I would recommend this surgery highly. Everyone was mortified when i told them i was going to Mexico to have 80% of my stomach removed. Not anymore because they see the fat just melting off me . My husband is going on 7-18 to have it done. good luck
  6. I was there on march 2, 2013. Maybe we passed each other walking the halls. How is it going? I have lost 43 lbs and I couldn't be more excited.
  7. I went to dr.alvarez in Mexico. He is right over the Texas border. I went alone on march 2, 2013. I was just fine all by myself. I was more comfortable going there by myself rather than Tijuana. He charges $8700. I have lost 43 lbs so far. My husband is going on July 18th. We have 3 small children so we can't go together. I would check into dr. Alvarez (www.endobariatric.com)
  8. So I had my first cup of coffee and I am 3 weeks post-op. Big mistake. My stomach was pissed at me. Way to acidic. I had bad reflux all night and my stomach gurgled all night. Had a major diarrhea blowout and was up all night from the caffeine. Won't be drinking coffee any time soon. I did put a scoop of unflavored whey protein in it to get some protein.
  9. Go to Mexico I did almost two weeks ago. Dr. Guillermo Alvarez. It was fine no troubles.
  10. What Is the reason I can't have a cup of cofee until I am three weeks post-op? I'm dying for one.
  11. When I went there was a lady on the same day as me. She's from Nebraska and we still keep in touch and she is doing well also. I also met 2 other girls from Utah that were sleeved the day before me. There are more than you think.
  12. I feel great. So much energy. It's been 9 days. Maybe it has do do with my low BMI it is 37. Today is my first day of full liquids. Right now I am having cream of broccoli cheese Soup that I blended. No complications at all. A little pain/soarness. It did hurt a little to swallow but very tolerable. Warm was better. Good luck. No worries
  13. I went alone to dr. Guillermo Alvarez 1 week ago and it was perfectly fine. No troubles at all. Slept most of the time.
  14. I am 1 week post-op. I was sleeved by dr. Guillermo Alvarez in Mexico and I went alone. It was awesome and perfectly fine. Not a problem at all.
  15. I was sleeved march 2nd. I am four days out. Today I've managed 1 packet of unjury chicken Soup flavored Protein powder in 16oz of Water. One isopure bottle and a can of beef broth and one Popsicle. I think sipping all day is in our future. Oh and a little grap juice. I'm stressed out making sure I get it all in.
  16. You should have went to Mexico. I am in eagle pass, Texas in a holiday inn and in the morning the van will pick me up and drive 10 minutes over the border to dr. Alvarez for my sleeve surgery. It only cost me $8700.
  17. I'm on day two op my preop liquid diet and I think the whey protien (syntax nectar) gives me the major runs. So bad it burns (tmi sorry). Has this happened to anyone else.
  18. If its mid back I would say maybe kidney stone?
  19. I am an xray tech also. I do MRI/CT. I live in Oklahoma and I am going to dr. Alvarez in Mexico in march 2nd. I am also glad I found this forum.
  20. This is why I love this forum. I was wondering the same thing especially since I'm going alone. How would I get my liquids in while I am in a hotel. I think the unjury chicken broth is a good idea and maybe some of their unflavored protein to mix in Water with crystal light. I'm getting sleeved by Dr. Alvarez on march 2nd. Good luck to you.
  21. I'm going alone also. I'm going to dr. Alvarez on march 2nd. It's to bad we weren't going to the same place at the same time. My husband has to stay home with the kids. I'm not to worried to go alone (actually 5 days without the kids will be a vacation). The only thing I'm worried about is the plane ride home and not feeling well.
  22. Has anyone tried Unjury brand chicken flavored soup?
