  1. Got Optifast from the MD, 2 weeks worth, both powder and RTD.
  2. Remember Catch 22? If you think you are crazy, you aren't. If you think you are sane, you're probably crazy!
  3. Yes, friend, I'd sure call your MD. Might be nothing, but better safe than sorry!
  4. From what I've read, hydration is reallllly important! It MIGHT play a part?????
  5. Unjury for me. I like 'em all. Chock. (2 varieties), Valilla, Strawberry, Unflavored, Chicken soup, and Cheese.
  6. Only your MDs can say. But it'll be better if NO Fever!
  7. I am Art. I've been 'big' forever, and while I have successfully lost weight a number of times (and for long times) I have always regained heavier than before. With a BMI of 50, I have 200# to lose. I am married with 2 grown sons, 2 grown daughters and a grandbaby on the way.
  8. This is hard, we got that! Hard for us all. It sounds REALLY bad for you. Tell us more about you and DO consider talking to your MDs!
  9. Check with your NUT, but you are likely as normal (for you) as you can be!!!
  10. Hmmm, "break a leg" does not seem to work, so how about "Lose a stomach".
  11. No. It depends on your surgeon! That said, I believe that most want you on a low fat / low carb diet for a couple weeks to "shrink" your liver. I will be 2 weeks on Optifast.
  12. Food can be one of life's pleasures, but not the way I (used to) eat. Anything at hand and stuff, stuff stuff???
  13. If that's a stall, I want one too!

Gotta admit that I don't mind anyone participating in the boy's discussion. But if them's the rules... Why not use the registration information to close the forums if you are "very" concerned? Thanks.
  15. Fearful... afraid of living...afraid of a recovery that lets you walk and play... Having Children!... Eating anything, but thoughtfully so... Xanax might work, but this saying always has helped me: Since only the good die young, I expect to live forever! Join me, Jersey!
  16. Here's the good news. While I'm not in the same boat (being a guy old enough to be your dad OR granddad!), I have had multiple surgeries. You have a great MD/surgeon (I assume). You are going to a great hospital with staff who know what they are doing... So, they will prepare you, might been a special wash, maybe some 'relax me' medication, and an IV for fluids. You'll get to wear a Very Stylish gown that exposes you God and country (and you will not care). You'll chat with the anesthesiologist. They'll roll you into the OR and everyone will look like the long ranger (masks all around). After some conversation, they'll ask if you are ready, and they YOU'll ask when do we begin, and the nurse will say, we're all over, you did just fine. Now there will likely be some discomfort as you heal, but the staff will help. And YOU will help too by walking as much as you can! Have fun. This is the start of your adventure.
  17. Our group asks for 30 days. We'll see.
