  1. Might want to look up Ghrelin and it's impact on new learning.???
  2. I am coming right behind you... So, Sherita, what would you do if this guy you REALLY LIKED a LOT for a LONG time, and you finally kicked outa your house after he was mean and wrong to you for years, tried to come back? You wand that BAS&^%d back? No. Keep him out. Food's been no good for us. Fight, it get's easier... but only if you fight now.
  3. And you can't gain or hurt your sleeve with dream food, so enjoy!
  4. Only everyone! I'm 6-4-13, so only a week behing you. Look at the "presurgical" threads for help, and consider getting "The Big Book of the Gastric Sleeve" that can walk you through most everything!
  5. I'm a week in. It gets easier after 3 or 4 days... I am really NOT hungry now. BUT if you don't follow the program, you have to start the 3/4 days over again... and again, and again!
  6. Maybe you'd explode? Nah, here's what I think. As tired as you are of clear liquids, follow your program. Your head might be trying to trick you. If thick soups are OK, then,... then... then... everything else...
  7. Eating small and slow will be my biggest challenge!
  8. Looking good, Julie. How do you feel???
  9. I look forward to dropping Rx as well, BUT would suggest that you do this in consultation with your MD!
  10. (In my program, at least) Nope and Nope.
  11. ??? they have a 'melt under your tongue' protein pump inhibitors... maybe your MD can help?
  12. I see as many saying 'I've gained' as those saying 'I've lost'. AND MANY have what you describe a few weeks out. From the posts, it ain't "real" weight gain, it's just your body dealing with recovery from major surgery. Just stay with your program and you WILL do fine!!!
  13. I judge this thread guilty.
  14. Our brains made us fat. The surgery helps us lose weight, but we all still are working on our heads. All in all, you DO sound "together" so keep on with your reflection and plan.
  15. Listen, This is important for ALL to see. This is NOT porn, this is dealing with "post- weight loss" issues. While the guys will have different surgeries, this paints a picture that it is Serious surgery. My sisten had plastics after bypass many years ago and said the recovery from plastics was MUCH more intense than from the bypass! Thanks for posting!
  16. From reading LOTS of posts this is just normal. Your body is re-adjusting, and it WILL happen at various times. BUT you will continue to lose weight. Just follow the plan! Remember you are still averaging over 5# a week. That's AMAZING!
  17. Good post. Eat fast and eat lots has been my bain. I will need to change QUICK!
  18. I'm with Mickey, above... 5# is super! Relax and enjoy the ride...
  19. My program asks us to hold off for 6 weeks... Glad you're not in THAT program, I'll bet! Likely whatever is comfortable will be fine. NSV is "non-scale victory', like fitting (again) into favorite jeans...
  20. Thanks for calling me young, Pappy!!
  21. In terms of the 'liquid fast', I assume that you'll be doing some protein suppliments or is it a 'clear liquid' fast? I am in Optifast for 2 weeks followed by 2 days of clear liquids. After the first few days, I can honestly say I am not hungry, though my head tells me otherwise when I see food commercials on TV. But, shoot, If I Can YOIU can!
  22. You can lose weight to address obesity. What can THEY do to address stupidity?
