  2. I'm 7 months out from surgery. 90 lbs gone with my goal of 100 in sight. I struggle with portion control and protein, but otherwise feeling good. Only problem is brain fuzz/fog. A lot of people report this happens after surgery. Mine is a little better, but there are days when i struggle to find the right word or remember things. Doc says physically I'm fine. Have others experienced brain fuzz for a long time after surgery? Somewhat related, has anyone else taken Ritalin post-surgery? Ive been on it for years but effects after surgery have been weird. Thanks everyone.

  6. You guys are amazing. Truthfully I am having a tough time emotionally. I look great, but I keep looking to food to satisfy emotional issue -- when I'm stressed I used to eat; when I'm happy, I used to eat. The only good thing is that I have kicked my Diet Pepsi addiction. Not one drop since October 28. I was drinking up to 2 gallons a day before surgery. I will also admit that I am not doing a good job with Protein or Water. Part of me thinks, "Well, that's the stuff that OTHER people need to do. I'm fine eating granola." Real arrogance. I'm working on it, and I'm going to go back to my shrink for a while to get a handle on this. Went from a size 46 pants to 38, hoping for 36. I don't want to go back -- I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. The advice is very very helpful.
  7. Any suggestions for a good protein bar? I've tried several and cannot stand them. I love KIND bars but I realize now they are not protein-rich. Thanks.
  8. Hi everyone: I'm a 50 year old male, had my sleeve in October 2012 and have lost 85 pounds since. Very pleased. However in the last two days I am ravenous. I have no idea where this is coming from. I find myself eating granola bars, chicken, fruit, more granola bars -- like I never feel full and my head tells me to eat to stop being hungry. Has anyone else had a similar experience at 6 months? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I'm scheduled for my sleeve next Thursday, October 25. I fully admit that I'm nervous. But you talked about the booth in the restaurant -- the first time I got stuck in one it was humiliating. Looking forward to sliding into the booth in a few months! You definitely helped this one person. Mike
