  1. Maybe you could make a manly one of we have guys here for February? I mean, it's easy for me to suggest that after all since I'm not the one doing all the work! LOL Maybe just call them Victorious V's or something? I dunno. You could ask them! I love, love, LOVE the one you made for us! Thanks!
  2. Ooh, that is so cute!! If you don't mind doing it, I'd love one personalized with Gibson on it. You rock!
  3. Angie, I'm glad you are talented! I was hoping someone would make us a pretty graphic! (I love yours, by the way!)
  4. I've finally been approved and my pre-op surgical visit with Dr. Tompkins in next week. I'll keep you guys posted!
  5. Ok guys and gals, if we are going to be on this looooong journey together, we need to really get to know one another! Why don't we each start a thread so we can get some fun/getting to know you action going in here! I'll start....
  6. I'll take your advice, KC. But if I go blind...you're buying my cane!!!! I DO think I'm going to like it here!
  7. I was going to say that I have no problem playing with myself but that didn't sound quite right.
  8. I would too if I were male! Or...if I leaned in *that* direction. lol But alas, as my avatar points out...."I'm a woman, DAMMIT!" =)
  9. Hmmm. So eleven people have viewed my request and no one said I could play with them. Well, that's too bad cause I'm gonna play with you anyway! =P =) I'm going to be one of those irritating kids who won't leave you alone even though you tell them to go away. LOL Good luck to everyone!
  10. Thanks Miranda! I was beginning to think I was talking to myself. =) My goal is 165 but if I could hit 199 I'd be THRILLED!!!
  11. See, food poisoning isn't ALL bad? =) Yay for you!!!!!! That's an awesome milestone!
  12. My short term goal is under 300. That's 31 pounds away and I would LOVE to be there before my surgery in late February. I know it's possible if I can stick to this liquid diet.
  13. Wow, I'm very encouraged by all the success that has already been posted here. Keep up the good work, guys!
  14. I am being banded in February and I have 165 pounds to lose so I feel like I'd be more at home in the 200+ group than the 100+ group. That sixty-five pounds makes a big difference!
  15. Gee thanks JOHN, now I have an ear worm! I just got approval on Friday and I've been jumping through hoops since May. I hope things come sooner for you than you anticipate!
  16. I am a 38 year old teacher from Kentucky. I'm single. I don't have children. I have a very warped sense of humor. *suddenly feel like I'm writing a personal ad* I'm also a reality TV junkie! My starting weight is 330 whopping pounds and my goal weight is 165. I think I can do it!!!!! Tell us about YOU!
  17. I'm still waiting to find out what a cassoulet is along with bigmarathoner. I'm such a rube.
  18. I just read in another thread that you have a CHILD in his 20's???? I don't believe it! My Lord woman, you look like you are in your 20's yourself! *dies of jealousy*
  19. Mac, from what I've read on the boards the process varies wildly from person to person. Some people are STILL jumping through hoops two years later and then there are situations like a friend I work with (whose husband has MUCH better insurance than I do!) that was immediately approved. My insurance required six months of supervised visits to doctors and dieticians. Nov, Dec, and Jan have basically been wasted by inefficient/incompetent people who can't remember to fax things! =P (Oh, and I'm not talking about MYSELF this time!) =P If I had to guess an average time though, I'd say you would be considered a "fast track" guy. Yay for you!
  20. Well thank you Anna! That's encouraging to hear! =) One thing I've noticed about a lot of your pictures here is that even while you were heavier you were out there living life. My problem has always been that I never do things because I'm "too fat" and I've been waiting until I'm "thin" to do fun things. Maybe you girls can inspire me to live life while I'm on my way down! =)
  21. Good for you, Ruby! I love your name! =)
  22. That is so cool! I hope you keep us updated since I'm too DUH to enter a virtual world anywhere!
  23. Hey bonnie! I went through about a six to eight month period about a decade ago when I was an exercise addict. And....that was that. lol I never did it before and I never did it after. However, I'm hoping a little of that addiction transfer happens after I can't eat all the time and I can get back into the swing of things. There is a YMCA about 40 minutes from my house and I'm going to join it after I heal from the surgery. Also, I've set a very small goal for myself of at least fifteen minutes of something a day for the rest of January. It beats nothing! bonnie, is your husband going to go with you when you have the surgery? Do your sons know you've decided to go forward with it?
