  1. Dang you girls! I guess I'm in but I don't like it.:laugh: It's a meager offering, but a heckuva lot better than what I used to do! 4jin....................................30............................ .......5............. patticNJ..............................20.............................. .....5............. becca.................................20.............................. .....3............. abeaher..............................15............................... ....4.............. aliwatt................................30............................. ......4............. 2. Hopefully things are getting more normal for me. I just had a solid BM, the last one was so runny, that I finally have hope that I'll be able to poo on a regular basis! lol It wasn't spectacular, lol, but neither is my food intake. I'm so relieved. Love, The Girl Who Shares Too Much =)
  3. I don't feel a thing. Even when I press around the port area. Nothing. I guess that's because I've got two tons of fat squished in around it. =)
  4. Thank you Susan and mica! The dragon routine has finally stopped. I didn't ask my doctor because it seemed like such a minor thing. I thought it may have been from cauterizing something too but I suppose it will remain a mystery! =) At least this thread will be here in case another weirdo has it happen to them. =)
  5. I'm with you, sister! Movie popcorn was something I planned to eat before banding and things never worked out so I feel like I was cheated. I just told someone that earlier today!
  6. As my Granny used to say, I finally "had a little luck". :cool2: I'm still hoping that things line out better eventually but at least SOMETHING HAPPENED! Thank you for staying tuned.
  7. Ok, I must be the freak of the world because I've searched this forum and googled this weird side effect and can't find anyone else with it. When I burp, my burps smell like smoke. What???? No, I don't smoke at all. I'm six days post-op, does anyone have a theory on what this might be? I mean, it actually tastes like cigarette ashes and butts are in my mouth. *freak*
  8. Welcome Bridget and Sheri, Don't worry Turler...the thread is still alive! =)
  9. Awwww Rhapsody, you are a true doll! Feel free to inspire us EVERY day! *hugs*
  10. I have another one that's hilarious, but it's not mine, it's my mom's. She is terrified of vampires. She has nightmares about them all the time and while she knows they aren't real, when it's dark and she hears bumps in the nights....VAMPIRES! Well, my sister told her that vampires have OCD (I think she got that idea from X-Files) =), so, my sister told her if a vampire comes into your room and you throw down a box of little somethings in front of him, he'll have to pick it up before he attacks you so it gives you time to get away. SO, my mom, (who really is an intelligent, rational woman), put a jar of buttons next to her bed..to throw at any vampires that might attack her in the night. lol
  11. Oh gosh, you just reminded me of another one...WOOD MOUTH!!! I get violent heebie-jeebies if my mouth touches the wood on a popsicle stick. Oh gosh, I'm cringing and shuddering right now just thinking about it.
  12. I've experienced that too but blamed it on the constipation. I thought maybe toxins were building up in my system or something. I think I'm drinking plenty of fluids but I'll up them if will help any. Isn't this wild? All these things we are noticing about our bodies now?
  13. I totally agree with both of you. =)
  14. Welcome and I absolutely believe you can lose all the weight you need to lose with the band as long as you give it your all! =)
  15. Hey guys, I'm Gibson! I'm a teacher and I was just banded on 2/25. I've got 165 pounds to lose to GET to 165 pounds. I would feel anorexic if I weighed 165 so that's my goal, whether it's considered a "healthy" weight or not. I know I'll feel good and look good then! It's nice to "meet" you all! =)
  16. Hey guys, wow, I'm glad this thread is still going. I promise I won't neglect it again! I was finally banded on 2/25 and have had virtually no problems. Yay God! I'm having a little constipation problem today. (Aren't you SO glad to know that?) =) But, I'm "working on it". =) I see that a lot of you were banded in February. You should come over to the February 2008 group. Lots of good people are there!
  17. Thanks girls. This is crazy. I'm in more pain now than I was when I woke up in the hospital! I'm going to try the heating pad. Wish me luck! LOL
  18. Delicious, hot, steaming food like pizza...and bread with gravy. And then I dream about dessert. Every Single Time I Go To sleep. Aaarrrrghhhhh!!!!!!!!
  19. ...poop.:hurray: How many days after your surgery did you have your first BM? I'm taking Liquafiber with all my liquids but I'm not eating any food to...um, er...."push it out".
  20. I'm taking a liquid coral calcium. I don't know if it's the right kind or not but it was the only liquid I could find at Wal*Mart.
  21. ...I've been meaning to ask you this for a while, so here goes. Is that you in your avatar or a celebrity? Whoever it is, she is SMOKING HOT so I hope it's you! There are so many beautiful people here!! I sure hope my inner sexy comes out in the next hundred pounds or so.
  22. Congrats on your successful surgery! We really have been blessed, haven't we?
  23. jnbwilds, I'm so happy for you about the seatbelt on the plane experience. I had to use an extender the last time I flew and it was mortifying. YAY!!!!
  24. StLouisGal, I'm not having much hunger either. Thank you LORD!!!!! I hope it stays this way until I can get to the real food stage! I still can't believe some of you guys are getting fills already! I'm going to be soooo jealous when I go for my six-week checkup if my doc won't let me have one.
  25. taismommy, You just motivated me to pull out the Incentive (breathing thingie) they gave me at the hospital. I can't imagine not having a scale. I'm definitely obsessed!
