suggestions
Sometimes a combination of meds is what works the best. Call your surgeon when you can to get instructions on what to take, or to see if a different script is what you need. I hope you're getting the help you need! You're not alone- your surgery team or general practitioner can help you!

5 days post op and i'm feeling...
Oh! I also took gasX chewables (some sort of creamy mint flavor) and they seemed to help the intestinal gas that I had.

5 days post op and i'm feeling...
My surgeon had me on Prilosec for 6 weeks post-op even though I had never had acid reflux before. He says he does it for all of his patients. I found popsicles to be really really helpful in getting in my liquid. I had sugar free popsicles, crystal lite, and milk with Protein powder for most of my liquid phase. The way I made sure I got enough food was to set a timer to go off every hour. When it went off I had to drink 1/2 cup of crystal lite, iced tea, whatever, or eat a sugar free popsicle. No ifs, ands, or buts. It worked really well for me, even though I didn't want to!

A Rant: Did you not read anything on this site before asking? Are you new here?!
Heh. I did my research rather than asking the little things at the beginning, but I try to answer people who are freaking out... at least if I have the information. :-D

5.5month update with pictures!
I was looking through old photos today and hadn't realized how different I look! I was sleeved on November 16, 2012. This picture was taken in March or early April, but I'll post another soon. First photo is probably from March 2012. One year apart, I was startled by the difference! There are very few pictures of my whole body from the last several years. Highest known weight 330 Surgery weight 310 Now- 233 Time of the second picture, probably 245lbs

My confession. I fell of the wagon
Thank you for your honesty! I find it's harder for me to slip up when I have people that I'm accountable to. My husband really helps with this for me.

Oh, the shame.
Yup. This happens! You can do it!

Lying about weight loss and/or months on a program
I had to have my general practitioner sign off about my six months of supervised weight loss (which I had already done with her), which sped up my process a little bit. Don't lie. This time is a good thing. Like many others have said, surgery is a last resort.

9 weeks out, ques. About eating
You NEED to eat things that aren't just Protein. Fruits and vegetables are important parts of your meals too! Have your protein and 2 tablespoons of fruit or 2 tablespoons of veggies.

exercise?
I walked from day 1(in the hospital) to week 5. Week six I was cleared for more intense exercise and I started jogging with my husband.

4 months out.. & so stressed
Your body is transitioning! If you are loosing inches, but not weight, that's an amount of fat (takes up more space) now taken up by the same weight of muscle (is denser- takes up less space). Keep doing what you're doing. If you decide to up your calories for a few days, make it GOOD calories. No sense in filling yourself with things you shouldn't be eating anyways!

Lane Bryant graduates
You'd have to be SUPER selective, but I bought some really nice things at Old Navy this weekend. I too, have recently 'graduated' from LB, but not as much as you! Congrats! I'm too small for their tops, but not yet too small for their skirts. My hips are still really big. It makes finding dresses difficult!
