You definitely want to rule out a blood clot. Anytime there is anything going on with your legs after surgery they need to be checked out. I would go to the ER just to be safe.
I had a very similar experience for about 2 weeks after my surgery. My calf, right foot, and toes were numb and tingly. I had a Doppler during my hospital stay as soon as I mentioned leg discomfort. I believe it was due to my sciatic nerve and the way we are laying during surgery. I've also seen other posts from people that have experienced the same numbness and tingling sensation in their legs, so don't feel alone.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Request your records from the hospital. Specifically the surgery report. And yes speak to a lawyer, preferably a reputable one and not a ambulance chaser. A good lawyer will review your case, and tell you if you have a case or not. Make a complaint to the hospital, if for no other reason to make them accountable for there lack of considerate care post op and to make sure they have guidelines in place to prevent this from happening again. You could have died. Would have if your husband had not stood up for you. If they had sent you home like they were planning you would have died. This is serious and they should be made accountable.

Sometimes I feel like I eat too much. My sleeve is Miss Congeniality, which isn't necessarily a good thing, lol.

My surgery was June 12th, I am now down 38lbs since my first Visit with the surgeon and I'm down 19 since my surgery date. I fell as if I'm losing slow too. I have just starting weighing once a week so I don't stress out about it. :-)

Hi fellow June 10th sleevers & June sleevers,
I can't believe it has already been a month since surgery. I struggle at times getting my Protein and fluids in. I find myself getting hungry often, which scares me. My sister who was also sleeved, never had that problem I need to eat every couple of hours. I can certainly take bigger drinks now.
I've lost a total of 24 pounds since surgery and a total of 37 since my heaviest weight. I am now down to 205 and I am stuck it seems. Come on onederland!!

I also did it for looks, which in turn will help me get healthier. I am tired of not going out because I am embarrassed over the amount of weight I gained. What kind if life is that. I know I shouldn't care what anyone else thinks, but that doesn't make me feel better when I am stuffed into a pair of jeans with double chin that has a mind of its own. So cheers to us who not only want to feel better, but look good while doing it!

My surgery was on June 10th. The worse part for me was waking up. I was extremely nauseous, luckily they got it under control before I started vomiting. My doctor said that my stomach was attached to my spleen by adhesions. She ended up have to peal my spleen away from my stomach. As a result that area was extremely sore; it hurt to breath. She said that this happens in about 1/3 of the surgeries she performs. I must say Dr. Steele at John Hopkins is fantastic just in case anyone is interested in finding a surgeon in the Baltimore, Md area.

jennybittyboo reacted to Marbear in I cant get myself motivated to exersise
Never depend on motivation to get through exercise. For some, it's a job just like the 9 to 5. When i was utterly sick of the gym I found this quote and saved it:
"No motivation however does not mean I won’t do the work. work needs to be done. I will never rely on motivation. Too risky"

Excuse me Naroby80 if you want to be rude and make comments like that then get off of my forum this is for support not arrogant responds. And I DID submit all my information LIKE I SAID if you read^ my insurance said they didn't have the supporting documents. So again, don't rub me the wrong way I am in no mood for your rude remarks at a time like this! And for everyone else we are going to appeal it tomorrow, we think the surgeons office missed a document and we will get to the bottom of it tomorrow thanks for all your support, It's appreciated all my VSG loves. Ill keep everyone in touch.

OP asked about what size people had... not if it mattered or not. Clearly some people want to learn more about bougies. Shutting people down from learning about this procedure is no way to show support.

If you quit prior to surgery, why would you want to start up again? All of that hard work for nothing.
My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011, and it has been a long, painful road for us all. Please don't walk down the same path. You've come this far with getting sleeved to take better care of your health and body. Embrace the gift and second chance to start over, don't waste it.

Anyone who intends to go through with this surgery, and tells you they AREN'T at least a little, now and then, scared totally spitless is either flat-out lying or hasn't done their research.
I shift every ten minutes from THRILLED to terrified. I have never taken such a big step before. It's amazing, it's frightening, it's the best chance I have at long term health, and it could be nothing that I expect. Yikes. At least I'm not going through it alone.
