  1. Good Luck today! You will do great!
  2. Just got my date today...July 26. Five weeks. Can't wait!!
  3. It is very overwhelming at first. I had 6 months to get everything done because I had to do nutrition classes per my insurance. My surgeon's PA gave me a binder with all of the requirements, options on where to to get my tests done and even a checkoff list to use. Once you get everything scheduled, it will go by in a breeze. Just take a calming breath and forge ahead. You totally got this!
  4. I just found out that I was approved by calling the insurance company. So I called my office coordinator just to find out that she is out of the office until Friday. It's only two more days to wait for a date but it feels like FOREVER!!
  5. Sadly, I had an experience just like this before...and I am NOT even sleeved yet! Never underestimate the power fried, fatty foods can have on a body. Sorry you had to go through that experience.
  6. I feel your pain. Mine was submitted last Wednesday and I am trying to hold off on perstering them to see if they received my approval. I think if I don't hear something today I will call tomorrow. I was told it could take up to 30 days for approval but with my insurance, it should only be about a week. Waiting is so hard for me.
  7. I decided to give my my daily Diet Pepsi habit cold turkey about 2 weeks ago. It has been hard and a couple times I ordered one with my meal not even realizing it. But, generally I feel a whole lot better each day. Surprisingly, even without the caffeine, I feel like I have much more energy. Good luck!
  8. Mine was just a conversation with the Psychologist. She wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting in to and if I had a good support system. Took about 30-40 minutes.
  9. I am worried about loose skin as well. But, like everyone wlse said, the PROs of the surgery outweigh the CONs.
  10. Mine was submitted last Wednesday so I am right there waiting with you. Patience is not my friend these days.
  11. Good luck to you today!
  12. I finished up my monthly appts on the 4th and was submitted to insurance this week, Waiting is the hardest thing to do!!! Hopefully, we all get the call soon. Good luck everyone!
  13. Congrats on your approval and date! August 8th will be here before you know it!
  14. I am currently waiting on insurance approval and my surgeon won't schedule a date until she gets it. She is currently scheduling for the end of July to the beginning of August. I am really hoping for a July date but a week or two later is not a big deal.
  15. I am sending good thoughts and prayers your way this morning. Good luck!
  16. Just an FYI if you order from BJs Bariatrics. The Vanilla Bean and Fuzzy Navel are on backorder right now. They hope to get some in next week but according to the email I received, they have a TON of orders waiting right now.
  17. I really hope this is the case for me as well. With my luck, I doubt it though.
  18. I was told the same thing at my pysch consult. I should be getting approved and a date very soon and I can tell each day I am getting more anxious. Anxiety mixed with excitment!
  19. Good luck to you both!
  20. The last appt of a 6 month requirement should be a happy occasion! I know mine was. My NUT was extremely supportive of my decision. For some reason, I was the most nervous about that appt and it turned out to be the best, most informative session possible. And as I was leaving, she told me that she knew I would be successful. I was on cloud nine for the rest of the day after that. I'm sorry that you didn't get to feel that way after your visit. Don't dwell on it. Use her words as fuel to get you to your goal. Good luck!
  21. Congrats! Mine was submitted to insurance yesterday and I cannot wait to get that call!
