My Dr required me to quit. I quit the first of May cold turkey and had surgery July 15. Still smoke free. Everytime I wanted to smoke, I thought about my weight and health. It was a real motivator. I figured it was a small price to pay!! Good luck

All medical providers have to bill what is their usually and customary rate and the the insurance companies pay what rate they have contracted with the provider. But the bill has to show the higher U/C rate.

I am from Monroe. Dr Daryl Marx and the hospital fees are about 14k. But he is amazing.

I am a little over six weeks post op. I am hungry all the time. I am not getting enough Protein. 20-40 grams a day. I am losing weight I just feel like I am eating all the time. I am using my fitness pal and staying around 1000 calories. I am just worried I will stretch my tummy out Any one else experiencing this?

I am on day 5 of 14 day pre op diet. 3 slim fast and 2 c veggies a day. I am going nuts!! I actually took a chicken nugget from my 8 year old niece Wednesday night. Oh my its going to be a long 9 days

Well, my surgery date just got moved up to 7/15. I start preop diet 7/1. 3 slim fast with fat free milk, 2 cups steamed veggies, broth, Jello, and zero calorie drinks for two weeks! When do you start your diet??

Hi Donna. My Dr has a two week pre-op diet. 3 slim fast with fat free milk, 2 cups steamed veggies, sugar free jello, broth and zero calorie drinks. I start my pre-op diet July 4. Good luck to you!!
