  1. Awesome! I wish I had an extra room or a garage to make a fitness room. What I have is crammed into my bedroom. I told my 20 yr old daughter that when she moves out, her room will be my fitness center.
  2. I wasn't even able to sign in on the site or the app since this morning. It is going to take soem time for everyone to get used to the new site. Give it some more time before you jump ship.
  3. I am at 64% at 15 weeks out! SW - 269 CW - 190 GW - 145 That is a great way to look at our loss! Thanks GamerGirl!
  4. I work in the male-dominated steel industry, though I am in an office position. Daily, we have contractors and vendors in and out of the office. Recently, people that I have seen for a while, some even years, have been coming in and introducing themselves to me. Like they think I am a new around here. I guess I was invisible when I had 76 more pounds on me.
  5. Congrats and good luck today! Here's to a speedy recovery!
  6. I LOVE THIS!! I will never say I am in a stall again. I am just hanging out on a stair. Good luck with your surgery today!
  7. My first confessions. Here goes... 1. I confess that I am afraid to take pics of myself yet because I am afraid that I won’t see in a pic what I see in the mirror. I really like what I see in my mirror for once. 2. I confess that as much as I want people to comment on my weight loss, the attention is sometimes extremely overwhelming and I want to hide from everyone. 3. I confess that even though first and foremost I had this surgery to have a healthy future, one of the biggest incentives for me to lose weight was to fit into roller coasters again. My poor husband has had to ride alone for the last 6 years. 4. I confess that even though I am more than halfway to goal in 3 months I am terrified that any day now I will stop losing. 5. I confess that after I tried on my wedding dress from 14 yrs ago AND IT FIT!!!, I stayed in it all night while I vegged out on my couch and watched TV.
  8. I am 3 months out and just like marfar above, I do not measure or weigh anything at this point. I am still barely able to get 1.5-2 oz of protein in. I can sometimes eat 1 whole meatball or 4 or 5 bites of chicken. That is about all and most times I don't have room for any veggies. Sometimes it bothers me that I can't eat more but most of the time I am just amazed that I can feel completely satisfied after that small amount. I plan to take advantage of my restriction for as long as I can!
  9. It is so awesome when your ticker tells you you have less weight to loss than you already lost! Congrats on your loss so far and almost getting to the halfway mark. You will get there before you know it!
  10. I hear you on this. I am 3 months out and normally have no problem with resisting the snacks. Today at work, not only are we celebrating Halloween with candy, there is a retirement party going on with cake and treats. I am hanging out in my office trying to avoid the temptations. Some days it is harder than others but I am stronger than my cravings...and so are you!
  11. I had my 3 month appt last week. I lost 52 lbs since surgery. My surgery weight was 248 and at my appt., I weighed in at 196.
  12. Good luck! Hope everything is smooth sailing!
  13. Surgery: July 26, 2013 HW - 269 SW - 248 CW - 196 73 pounds lost total. 52 since surgery. Slow and steady wins the race! Started in a size 24W/3X and now fit comfortably in a 16W (or 18reg) and XL.
  14. WOW! Almost 100lbs in 3 months! Awesome job!
  15. I am 3 months out and I still can't eat very much. I can get about 1.5 -2 oz of dense Protein in at a time. Sometimes, just a couple of bites. I hope that it increases in the future but right now I am very happy with the little bit I can eat. I want to take advantage of this time for as long as I can. If soup goes down well for you, just order that for lunch.
  16. Slow and steady wins the race. Congrats on the 50lbs!!
  17. I agree. Don't know how I would have managed without this group's advice and knowledge. It's great to have such support!
  18. I am 3 months out and some days I still barely get in 600 calories. I make sure that I always get my protein and fluids in each day. I am taking advantage of this time now because I know the further out I get, the more calories I will consume. You are still very early out. It will get easier.
  19. Awesome!!! Way to go on your loss. It is definitely time to get some new pants.
  20. Best wishes on your surgery today!
  21. Good luck to all of you today!
