9mo out, upper GI today.
- 17 days post op and feeling really hungry...
How about something like puréed chicken wi gravy? Or eggs? Or egg salad (puréed)? Those filled me while on puréed.- 6 month pre op diet
During my 9 month pre op diet, I gained about 12 lbs. my surgeon was fine with it, in fact, he said it was normal. My insurance still approved me within 3 days after paperwork was submitted.- Eggs, taking a quick poll

- 1.5yrs post op-need help
I've only been sleeved for 11 weeks, but I've been breast feeding my son for 15 months now. My NUT suggested healthy fats like nut butters, avocado, etc. Make sure your getting enough fluids to keep your supply up, and eat every 2 hours. Just make sure you concentrate on protein first, then veggies, then starch. I've had no issues with my supply, except when I was on my pre op diet. I eat about 800 calories per day, but nursing a newborn on demand, I would try to eat 1000-1200.- Do you still get hungry?
I get hungry, and it's definitely real hunger and not head hunger- Stressed out..
I was sleeved July 3, so I'm 11 weeks out today. I believe I've had good weight loss. I've lost 47lbs since surgery, and 57 counting my pre op diet. So why am I stressed? I'm always hungry, all foods agree with me, and I feel like I'm doing this 100% with will power alone. I got this surgery because my will power sucks. I could sit and graze all day if I allowed myself. I track on MFP every day to hold myself accountable. I average 750-850 calories, 30g carbs, 70-80g of Protein and 60-70oz of Water. I try to exercise 3-5 days a week. I weighed 243 on Monday, and as of this morning I'm 247.5!? What gives?? I'm just so frustrated with this "diet" consuming my entire life. I'm constantly worrying, and weighing, and tracking, and thinking of what I could eat at my next meal that will have enough protein, but no carbs. Ugh! I don't want to be like this the rest of my life!! I got this surgery young (23) so I could ENJOY the rest of my life... not stress about it. End rant. Thanks for reading/listening.- What does 73 pounds down at almost four months out look like?
Look at you hot mama!!- My first NSV!
- Tracking vs Not Tracking- Thoughts?
Like jerseygirl, tracking is very important for me. I'm 10 weeks out, and can tolerate any/all foods! I have horrible habits with grazing, and tracking keeps me in check. I have great restriction, but I could snack all day and easily consume probably over 1000 calories!- How much do you save on food?
- SEX!
LMFAO!- Best and worst "compliments"
Yup! Good thing my kid was there or I probably would have flew off the handle lol- High BMI
Mine was a 53 and 10 weeks later I'm at 43!- Best and worst "compliments"
Best: "wow where is the rest of you!" Worst: "you know after losing all that weight your going to have tons of extra skin" Weirdest/awkward: my friend said to her husband "look how much weight Jess lost!!" he looks me up and down and smiles at me and my friend said "wait, did you just check out my best friend!?" Lol!- How long post-op did you need shakes?

- One Year Surgery Anny 9-4-13
You look awesome! And I love the blonde- My doctor doesn't want me to have the sleeve :(
I've battled with ulcers and GERD for well over 10 years. I've been on cocktails of meds, tons of endoscopes, specialists, hospitals, etc. I decided to go its the sleeve because I knew it was better to not re route my system, and I have a family member whose had grey success with the sleeve. My surgeon warned me that the GERD could continue, if not get worse. I was ok with it, I mean I've endured it for so long so I was used to it. Let me tell you, from the second I woke up in recovery, I have not had one single episode of heartburn, pain, or reflux!! It's been amazing!! Besides my weight loss, ip the sleeve has given me relief from all of the pain and stomach issues I've had since childhood! Not saying this is always the case, but this is my story good luck!- My Story
Amazing! Do you mind if I ask what your before/current stats are??- How bad was it? Would you do it again?
I may be a lucky case, but I had ZERO pain. From the second I woke up in recovery, I never felt pain. I never needed pain meds or a pain pump in the hospital, I walked immediately, and had very little gas. My only complaint was how dryyyyyy my mouth was! And the leak test drink was gross, but your so thirsty at that point that you won't even care lol! I'm 9 weeks out and 55.8lbs down!! Best decision ever!- I really want a
I made the most delish cauliflower pizza crust! It wasn't exactly the same as real pizza, but satisfied my craving! And I may be the minority, and I'll probably get bashed, but I have soda once in a while. I take a can of diet coke, let it go flat for a day or 2, then sip it when I have a craving. One can lasts about a week.- July 2013 Sleevers
