I have also fallen victim to the dreaded stall! Mine has lasted for two weeks. Was getting really down until I tried on some of my clothes....4 bags went to Goodwill!!! As frustrating as it is, I know that all I can do is keep following the postop eating guidelines, exercise, and the weight will come off. Since starting the Bariatric program, I am down 50 lbs and around 20 since my surgery on 2/19. Never in all my life have I been this successful at losing wt.

First day back to work today. I haven't been up this early in awhile! And I can't have coffee until 2 months out. I'm tired and hope the day goes smoothly and quickly. Still getting over this stomach flu, but it seemed to mostly last 24 hours. What's really bothering me right now is that I took my pills (blood pressure, Migraine med, zoloft, Iron, and the acid reducer) on an empty stomach while getting ready and my stomach felt like it was going to implode. Just spent the last 20 minutes trying to not throw up, and nurse down some yogurt. Ugh, I won't be doing that any time soon again.
I work in a lab, so it's not strenuous. My big concern is getting enough liquids and food in. I've been doing fine on my liquids here at home, and eating some Protein every 3 hours. But at work, we have to change shoes, put on hairnet, safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, etc. It's kind of a hassle to go from the lab to the break room and back, and we can't have anything to eat or drink in the lab. Plus, when I'm actively working with samples, I'm not going to be able to just stop and go take a drink in the break room.
Well, if that's my biggest worry, I guess that's ok.
I've been wearing comfy things like PJ pants since my surgery (unless I go out), and was surprised at how loose my fat girl jeans are this morning! I'm going to have to hike them up over my muffin top rolls just to get them to stay up!

I was sleeved 2/25 - exactly three weeks ago. I've lost 18 pounds since the surgery - so, six pounds a week.
I had already lost a total of 124 pounds on my six month pre-op diet (required by my insurance )and the two-week pre-op liquid fast.
If I can continue to lose 4 or 5 pounds a week, I'll reach my goal (under 200 lbs) by the end of the year.

I had blood clots travel to my lungs last October after a lung lobectomy. I was also going through chemotherapy which can also contribute to clots. It got to the point that my calf was hurting pretty bad but because my leg was not warm everyone/doctors included said it was nothing. I going very short of breath one day and I am very lucky to live to tell the tale. I had an IVC filter put in before my sleeve on the Feb 18th and have done very well. My heart's breaks for his family.

It looks like everyone is doing awesome their first month. Can you believe we did it? All those fears and sleepless nights worrying gone. I just want to say how proud I am to all the sleevers. You made the decision to change your life and you followed through. Be proud of yourselves!!!!
I did have a major scale victory today. My first life stage goal. Today I am my pre-pregnancy weight of my second son. 10lbs until my next LS goal which is my pre-pregnancy of my 1st.

Ok, I will quit being discouraged about stalls. I was sleeved 2/14. I had my huasband take measurements on 2/10. As of this morning I have lost 8 inches in my waist and hips. 3 in the waist and 5 in the hips. Yipeeee!!!!! I am still in the same size jean, 20, but very loose. Just not quite an 18 yet. Oh yeah 254 on 2/7, 228 this morning.

Sleeved 2/28 and feel great. Started pre op 2/14 and 3/8 lost total 31lbs. (19 on pre op) Saw surgeon and he was impressed with how good I feel. I truely believe it is due to: Walking daily prior to surgery- Quitting smoking 2 months prior- Not cheating on pre-op- Walking lots post up...even day 2...walking around every 15 minutes- sugar free lollipops days 1-4 for fluids. I feel back to normal, truthly better than normal. (I self paid and my insurance would not pay for complications, so that is why I was careful to do what I was told)

Hi, haven't been here in a bit but I've been busy! I was sleeved feb 11. with one small set back, when they say introduce new foods slowly, they aren't kidding. I no longer tolerate any kind of milk, almond milk or creamy anything. So I won't try that again. Had what they call dumping, with cold sweats and a lot of pain. Thank god I did a lot of research so I knew what was happening. But still I was scared! Anyway, other than that I've been good, I'm back to downhill skiing, Zumba and walking. Feel pretty good too! The one thing that still is hard to get my head around is Small Portions! I had to go out and buy the smallest bowls I could find so it looks like I'm eating. I knew I'd eat less but it's still hard to understand how much less until you are there. I'm sure I'll over come it but wonder if anyone else feels this way. I'll be happy when it's just normal to eat this amount and not think "Wow I'm full?" I've lost 15 pounds as of last Wednesday, I only weigh once a week. I've read that this will slow down and maybe stall for a bit so I'm ready for that and the last big change, I don't die if I don't have coffee!! I was a coffeeholic and now I can drink it or not, makes no difference!!!
All in all I highly recommend the surgery and would do it again!
I went through Weight No More out of Saskatoon SK and INT hospital in Tijuana Mexico, the Doctors and staff were awesome!!
I hope everyone is doing awesome and living a great life!!

Well, I have shrunk since my previous update! I am at goal since February 2013. current:
    Height: 5'5"
    Weight: 158
Pant size: 8 (fitted, not stretchy)
    Dress size: 10
    Tops: Medium
I started out at 308 day of pre-op diet start; 300 day of surgery. My all time highest weight (in 2004) was 332.
At the time of my surgery I was stuffed into 26W wearing either 2x/3x depending on the top
So, the scale weighs me heavy but I am a big framed person so everyone around me tells me to stop right here since I am bony looking even weighing in the 150s. The attached photos are when I was about 5# over goal.

Just saw this. Today makes a week since I've been home. I'm walking, cleaning and already running errand. I even went to work one day to take care of a client. Feel great no pain, getting my fluids down and even lost 16lb already. I had no gas pains thank god. I can truly say that my experience so far is great.

Had surgery Mon. 2/25. Out of the hospital on Wed., well enough for normal activity by Friday. No post-op complications. The hardest thing right now is getting used to eating (pureed food) and drinking SLOWLY. If I swallow too much food, or gulp Water instead of sipping, I get a slight pain/spasm, as if my body is yelling, "SLOW DOWN!"
My "official" weight when i started my two-week pre-op liquid diet was 372. One week after surgery, I'm down to 350. 22 pounds in three weeks!

surgery was 2-11. I feel fine. no real issues other then not being able to eat any kind of Protein Powder or mixed drink. incisions are fine. Water hurts but lemon water doesn't. SUPER FRUSTRATED. lost 14 the 1st week and nothing for 2weeks now. no more lost inches either. seriously the 14 I could have done without surgery. I understand stalls in a way but 1st month is bull. you eat so little and get nothing. seriously aggravated.

I am 2 weeks out today, and I found that I could easily eat/drink without feeling "full" immediately. My surgeon said I just tolerated liquids better than most and that was fine. I started mashed potatoes, pureed chicken with mayo, and eggs earlier than I was suppose to. My surgeon told me it was fine as long as i could tolerate them. You are not alone.
