I'm wearing it about 18 hours a day. I wear it most all day and almost all night. I seem to get irritated about 4am. For last few mornings it's been off about 5am til about 9 or 10.
I'll look into the taping. The incision otherwise is flat and looks good
Im only 3 weeks out (well in 2 days I'll be)

Selfie in my size 4 skinny jeans... Even with compression garment I needed a belt on.
I'm 2 weeks postop today. Still have swelling in the middle of my abdomen. It's weird looking to me. Like my top & bottom don't match. The pannus is flat. The top is not completely flat but then this spare tire like thing in the middle. It has gone down a lot in 2 weeks but it still is ugly IMO
my incisions looks great in some spots. Pretty horrific in others. 2 in particular look like the Dr may need to address them with a suture or 2 at a later date.
The holes where the drains were are now completely closed. I'm a take a bath more than take a shower person so that's good news for me.
I still ache in 2 spots. Right at my hip bones. Not sure what that's about since the incisions aren't right there. Maybe that's where they did the tugging and pulling.
    Gonna take undie pics shortly

Ya know, seems to me, given that this chick chose to put something like this out there on fb, that it's really not about her getting disappointed. It would be more about her having an oppotunity to make a public dig at you. If she was really disappointed she should have discussed it with you privately. So imo she has just made herself look like an ass. Your reply to her was beautiful. If it were me, I would now pretend she no longer exists. Who needs friends like that?

Drains out. Dr took a pic in the office but I was too frustrated about the things to get him to take one with my phone. Dr was pleased with my progress.
I'll get hubby to take pics tomorrow.
The Dr shared this with me.... Said it weighed a lil over 2 pounds

I think it depends on a few things 1) how much fat to skin you have 2) the plastic surgeon's preference 3) insurance requirements if not cash pay.
Also, the year thing is because your skin is an organ. It will retract...some. Probably not enough to make a difference post massive weight loss. KWIM?

You really have to watch that habit as it can potentially turn into an eating disorder. I tell the newbies at my support group the same, as a number of veterans who did that early on have delivered problems. I stuck to the plan, I am 14 months post-op and 128lbs lighter for my efforts. Good luck to you.

    Thanks everyone, for the advice.
I did what Vogue suggested and cut back my calorie intake to 1600 and saw results immediately. My plateau broke the next day and the weight has been dropping off ever since.
I'm still working on getting in 200 grams of Protein a day. All the nutrition people I've talked to said that's the minimum of what I need to consume if I'm going to be doing weight training, and I definitely want to be doing weight training.
I'm also training for a half-marathon. I don't want to just be thin. I want to be buff.

I doubt you are adding a lot of muscle mass at this point. Running doesn't really bulk you up ... at all.
What it does do, though, is help store glycogen more efficiently in your muscles. Glycogen is mainly stored in your liver, but when your body sees it needs more resources, due to additional exercise, it will begin to also store glycogen in muscles. One of the differences, though, is when it is stored in muscles, it must also bond with Water in a 4 to 1 ratio. So, if you are storing an additional pound of glycogen, you also have to store an additional 4 pounds of Water. This equates to 5 additional pounds!
So then you think, "Woa! I'm giving up all exercise, then!"
Well, as you mention, your clothes are fitting better. I'm also guessing you have great energy and have a better overall feeling of wellness. Not even to mention the heightened metabolism. I know when I was running regularly, my body was a furnace and my weight loss was incredible. Don't worry about the scale or your doctors if you decide to stay committed to this. They will understand what exercise is doing for you.
And ditch the scale. It measures weight, not fat. What are you looking to lose?

I FINALLY made it!! Today I sit at a 'normal' BMI, not over weight, not obese, no longer morbidly obese. Sure, it's just a number, but wow, it feels great to be able to continue to hit benchmarks along this journey!! I am 17 months out and still losing. Slow but steady wins the race, and I am DEFINATELY going to win this one!!
