  1. I'm 6 months out & tonight I just had 1/2 of a small burger at my grandaughter's Bday party...& I think I might explode! The bread kinda sneaks up on you...when you feel it, you've eaten too much! With that said...this is prob the second time I've even attempted bread since surgery...I just don't reall want it!
  2. Constipation is a big deal with this procedure. I would speak to your dr & prob prepare to begin a regular regiment. I never had any issues with constipation, but after the sleeve...I Do! :-/
  3. I hear you! I was so excitied & feeling good about myself to get around 200...then would read posts about people being sleeved at 200 & less! Would burst my bubble! :-/
  4. Great article, makes a lot of sense! Thanks for sharing!
  5. Hopefully it's just the inflammatory response & all will be ok. Better to get checked to make sure though!
  6. Ok, so everyone knows I have posted multiple times how I sooooo want to reach Onderland! Well....I have now been stalled at 200 for 2 weeks!! REALLY!!! I hear them laughing at me everytime I step on the scale! :-(
  7. I'm 6 mo out & have had some REALLY bad BR moments! I now take a dulcolax once a week or so, when I feel I'm slowing down. We don't eat much = our intestines are not stimulated to move what little we have out. Even if we go every few days, with me at least....it's not much! & there's still more backing up! With the dulcolax...it empties everything...like a good cleaning. I don't use it on a consistent basis, don't want to get dependent on it, just whenever I feel I need it!
  8. 6 mo out, surgery was a breeze....easiest surgery I've ever had! My only "problem" ( if you want to call it that) is occasional constipation...but I can now tell when I'm slowing down & take something, so that's an easy fix! Absolutely NO regrets, best thing I've ever done for myself!
  9. It's NOT a violation of HIPPA! HIPPA protects YOU!! & if your the one requesting them...they cannot legally withold them!!
  10. I'm 6 mo out & can eat about a cup at a time.
  11. Been married 37 yrs...& yes, getting better each day! :-D
  12. You could add some unflavored protein powder for added protein!
  13. Your tummy will tell you. A lot of us get a sign...I get something between a burp & a hiccup, others get hiccups, I even heard of one person who starts sneezing!
  14. There have been a few who have had some complications. I don't know if any went to bypass though! Wishing you good luck!
  15. I get hungry! Just full faster! :-)
  16. I'm almost 6 months...& I too have no problem eating anything!
  17. I didn't have a pre-op diet, just liquids the day before & nothing after midnight! I did great!
  18. Wow! That sounds yummy! I will def try these this summer! Thanks for sharing!
  19. You go girl!
  20. Ummmm....YES! It's a common problem! :-/
  21. I would def Not use anything like that! I'd be afraid it would stretch my sleeve!
  22. I hope Laura's right & you mean 1000! :-/
  23. II am 5 1/2 mo out. I can eat anything...nothing bothers me, but I have chosen to use the sleeve as the tool it is & I have changed my eating habits! I eat healthy & focus on proteins first,..usually fish, turkey or chicken, than veggies if I have room. I eat 600-800 cal a day usually. I don't focus on cal....just protein & low carbs. I admit, I do indulge myself every once in awhile & have a bite or two of something I really want...but the majority of the time I stay on target. This is a lifestyle change for me...not a diet! Good luck!
  24. It was a Super HEB! Funny, the one in Beaumont didn't have them either...just the one in Atoscocita. That's the only place I have found them!
