im with you on this, I am 3 days post - op and I think I am starving, but then the thought of food makes me sick. I think its because I am in a lot of pain. I am on full liquids nothing thicker then paint. but I have been just drinking protien shakes, apple jucie and melted ice cream. If feels like I am eating a full meal. Hang in there it will get better.

Hi everyone, I cant stay long its hard to sit. My tummy looks like a road map of staples. I cant bellive i was in surgery for 6 hours and had to be opened up. I am so much pain, this is nothing like the 1st time. I am here still Pueblo CO, Im staying at the Hapton Inn just on the outside of town. I am on Pain meds (a spray through the nose) Antibiotic, Nausea patch, and then the nore gasx, tyenol, mortrin. Other then that Im okay......I will post pictures of my stomach as soon as I get back home. Im to much of a risk to take the trip back home yet. My dr. wants to see me on tues. then we will go from there The incision down my tummy is about 9 inches long then I have 4 other incisions al over. okay i have to go. thanks for your prayers, Im not out of the water yet.

Trish is still in the surgery center, for tonight. Tomarrow morning, we will probibly be transfering her to a hospital. We'll have to see what happens when the doctor comes in at 7 am. She is in a lot of pain. From what we can tell, her cut runs from her chest all the way down to her belly button. It has been stapled together. If everything goes well, she will get the staples out on tuesday morning and we'll be home on tuesday evening. From there, she will be bedridden for a at least a few weeks, but while I am at work, my Mom will send a nurse to keep an eye on her so she will be fine. She has a lot of people that care about her. She wanted me to tell every one thanks for the blessings and the hugs and the prayers.

this is her husband, john. Trish had complications during the surgery. the doctor cut a hole in her stomach while trying to get her old band out. because of this, he had to stop and open her up and open her up to finishe the procedure. it took 6 1/2 hours for the surgery and she has an cut in her tummy that is about 12 - 14 inches long. she is doing good right now. we will be here at the hospital for the next few days. if everything goes well, we will be able to stay the night at a hotel on sunday night then go see the doctor on monday then travel back home. trish will probibly be bedridden for 2 - 3 weeks.

Hey everyone I am here in CO... and my surgery seems even closer... I am preparing myself for the worse. either way I am ready to do this and get this done!!!! boy I could use a shot of vodka right about now!!!! LOL Oh and as you know i have my laptop so either me or my hubby will let you all know how i am doing.

Thanks!! and PeloRojo, I will be thinking of you on Thursday too! look we are even the same age... wow lol Well I am probably going to leave out this afternoon, I want a day in CO to do some shopping and get a little clam before thursday morning. I will have my laptop with me so I can let you all know how it went. again I am worried of waking up without a band! Okay here I go!!!!!!

OMG I am getting so scared!!!!! I dont know why... but it has been making me sick! I already know what to suspect and I still get butterflies and the back on my neck feels like its on fire!! I need the support! I sometimes ask myself why am i going to put myself thourgh all this again! UGH!!!!!! okay maybe tomorrow I will feel better!

I would make a journal of what you are eating, try not to eat things that "go down easy" but you still need your protiens, if you can eat meats... is it that you are taking to big of bites? I know even after 16months of being banded I still forget. I think over all you need to talk to your Dr. and make sure that there is nothing wrong with the band... then if all is ok then go to the ENT, I have had to go there a couple of times from a PB... I hope everything works out... Take Care

Congrats!!!! on your band date.. you will be banded before you know it! About the amount of food, I had the same problem, I always worried about not being to handle to eat the things I like in small portions. but you know it works out it really does.... You will get that "full" feeling as though you didnt have the band but you will eat so much less..... its it great! Its hard starting off but it all works out! I wish Albuquerque had a support group that we can met new people at. I know there is one for Gastric bypass but I wonder if there is any for Lapband people. Well if you know let me know.. thanks!

Thanks guys!!!! I know I have been thourgh a lot but non of it compairs to what I go thourgh just being fat! That is the worst even more so then the trouble i have had with my band. But I know this time around it will work!!!

YEAH!!!!! we can be band buddies.... I am having to learn all the banster rules again.. I know i have been banded 16months but... it seems like i havent so... again I have to start over like brand new!! and I cant wait!

Yes I am going to the same Dr. He is working with me so well, Ins. in all so I couldnt pass it up.

Well my wound is finally healed up! I still have a big dip in my tummy but the hole it self is closed. It took about 4 months and I am so glad I dont have to worry about it anymore. I can put cute pretty things on my dresser now, instead of it looking like a Dr.'s office! So I will be leaving out to CO either Tuesday or Wednsday of next week. I did start a diet, just drinking slimfast and dinner being very healthy and very small. I am very excited to finally be here and getting rebanded. I really hope it works this time. Not that it didnt work before, I am down almost 60 pounds, but I should be down more then that. I am worried in a lot of ways as well. I hope the band I have now is okay and not eroded. I would hate to wake up without a band. So keep me in your prayers next week. And hopefully by the 1st I will be a "Real" bandster again! I will hang out with you all more offten too! Thanks for everything all your support and freindship, This year was very hard for me but all of you have been such wonder friends!!! WOOHOO Im getting re-BANDED!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhh I got my gift on Friday! it was from Robin (ralheit), Thank You so much robin for everything. That little massager will come in handy after surgery!

Anyone in NM get flooded?? Todays rain here in Alb was harsh.. we got hail and it was cold. The Rainbow after was so pretty though!

I havent sent mine out yet... I got a hand full of things to send.. but I need to get a few more LOL... I want my person to be spoiled LOL.... Not to worry Its coming!!!

Oh yeah I remember you.... I am going back to the same Dr. in Pueblo for my re-banding. Hey when you come to Alb again let me know we can do lunch or something! I love meeting fellow bandsters!!

Well I finally got all my test results back from the gyno. And they want me to take some pills to help me have a period. Then after a few times of that then I will take the ultra sound again so see how that works. They didnt or couldnt give me surgery because of my port infection hole. Well with my wound, it is about less then a inch. Also I got the approval from my ins. company for the band replacement. So the Nurse from my Dr. office called and we are looking at surgery on 8/31 if my wound is healed. If not then 9/21. I guess I can wait. Its hard but I know it will be done soon and hopfully I will be a REAL bandster again!
