For me the last straw was losing 80 pounds with phentermine and diet changes only to gain all of it and then some back as soon as I went off the pills. I think that switch that healthy people have that tells them when they are full and to stop eating is broken on me. I am hungry all the time and even though I monitor my intake and watch my calories, I still gain.
It doesn't help that my husband jokes about going to the fat doctor to lose weight. He thinks he is being funny, but he just isn't.
So, this is my last hope. I will lose the weight this time and keep it off forever.

Just make sure you're over a toilet the first few weeks when you do. You can't trust farts too soon after surgery TRUST ME!

Welcome to the losing side and congrats on your new sleeve! =). The gas pain does subside but it really got me that first week too (which was just last week!).

I concur with the pillow advice. My 8 lb cat sprang onto me about 4 days post op. Ugh! That re-activated my incision site nerves! I was fine but I considered buying her a collar with a bell on it

Sleeved on May 21. Highest weight (preop appt) 231. Day of Surgery 226...today I entered onederland :-) I had to share here where people understand, my family justs looks at me like I am nuts!!!!

I just looked at my count down app - 10 days to go. Wow! I have been on my pre-op diet for a week (by choice) and my heart did a little flip flop when I saw the days left. I guess I may be hit by the nerves after all.

For the record phoenix 79 wanted to do 8 laps at 3am. . I do not know if I was sleep walking or what. Today we are going to go for 12 laps.

I look for the sales. CVS has a sale it seems once a month, then to have coupons yippy, extra savings. I buy on line also. I'm a bargin hunter.

I picked up a Ninja at Target for $50. Probably doesn't have all the bells and whistles but I works for me.

I started my pre-op yesterday. A few days early, but wanted to see how I would do. Pretty bad headache, but other than that, it was okay. My daughter sat next to me eating Cheetos and I didn't want them at all. Progress!! We will see how today goes. I have an 8 hour drive. :/
