  1. Okay, so I should probably get the diet back in check?!? Lol
  2. I was sleeved on 1/22/13, my starting weight was 241 and I am now 197. I logged my food daily & usually stay under 800. This past week, I've been getting around 950-1,000 calories per day. I was originally told 600-800 calories & 50-60 g of protein. Do we move up in calories over time or are we always supposed to stay between 600-800.
  3. I fell & injured my shoulder & tail bone. My PCP wanted to prescribe me a anti-inflatory. I told her I could not have NSAIDS. I don't understand why? Can I not have them for the rest of my life or just shortly after surgery. What do you do when you have a injury?
  4. It was a nice change, I've been missing pops too
  5. I went to a small town festival & they had homemade Root Beer...no carbonation or Caffiene!!!! I know it's full of sugar, but it was a nice treat & sure went down smooth. Might just buy them out, lol.
  6. Sleeved Jan 22, I lost 33.5 lbs so far. I thought I was doing good until I read some of these posts ????
  7. Thanks, it's leighmac77@aol.com
  8. Thanks for the info. I'm a little frustrated. My doctor gave me diet guidelines through week 8, but don't have much info. He encouraged me to use the Nutritionist through his hospital. I talked to her for over an hour & she was very helpful. The next time I talked to the nurse at my surgeons office she said everything the NUT said was incorrect & I needed to follow the doctors orders. Very frustrating!!!
  9. I'm 7 weeks post op & have been given the go ahead on chicken, fish, seafood....just about anything. Can I tolerate sushi roll at this point? Like crab roll? I'm nervous about the rice.
  10. I was given the go ahead at 7 weeks post op to eat nuts. I had a few pistachios & almonds. Immediately after eating them. I threw up for the first time since surgery ????. Has anyone else had this experience? I've tolerated everything well, now I'm nervous to try new things.
  11. I take Celebrate Cherry Tart.
  12. I take a 500 mg calcium citrate chewable 2 times per day. My stomach feels gassy & nauseated after I take it. Is this normal?
  13. I'm confused about what vitamins can be taken with what. Can I take my flintstone vitamin & then drink a protein shake with skim milk? Will the calcium & the milk effect the iron in the vitamin?
  14. My instructions were 1 week of liquids, 1 week cream soups, 4 weeks of soft foods.
  15. We have alot of restaurants. Chili's, Roadhouse, Carino's, Applebee's, Longhorn, Olive Garden, El Chico's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ruby Tuesday
  16. I was sleeved on Jan 22, I'm 4 weeks post op & on soft foods. My hubby is taking me out for Valentines Day. Any suggestions on restaurants & what I could order?
  17. I was told to stay between 600-800 calories per day. I usually end up around 500, I'm only 4 weeks post op....I'm sure I won't have trouble hitting the mark when I get on solids. Do I have to reach my calorie goal daily? Is it hurting me by being under? I reach my protein & water goal daily.
  18. I did call my doctor, but they were puzzled. They called me in Diflucan. I was just curious if it happened to anyone else.
  19. My sleeve was done on Jan 22nd & around 2 weeks post op I go a black tongue. I have not used pepto or anything that would stain my tongue. Has anyone else experienced this?
  20. I'm 12 days post op & I think I may have pulled a muscle in my left side near my incision. I over did it yesterday cleaning house & have noticed tenderness when I cough or turn a certain way. Now everytime I twist or bend or use that muscle I have pain. I feel like its a pulled muscle. Anyone else had a similar issue? What can be done for it?
  21. Try getting Isopure to get in your liquids. They sell it at GNC & it tastes like Gatoraide. The Alpine Punch & the Blue are the best. They are 20 oz bottles with 40 g of protein, no carbs or sugars.
  22. I love love love sweet tea. I was going to make some decaf tea this weekend as a Super Bowl treat, I'm only 11 days post op. what sweetner is the best to make it taste like real sweet tea?
  23. I had mine done in Aug 2009. I worked all day went to the appt at 3:30. They numbed my cervix which felt like the pinching of a Pap smear. I was awake & watched the whole thing. Once it was over, they gave me a pain pill and I did start cramping. It feels like contractions because your uterus is contracting back to its original size (they fill it with water). I went home & went to sleep & worked a full day the next day. It was so simple, I couldn't believe it. I also had the ablation 2 years later, which didn't work. The pain from the ablation was 10 times worse than the Essure.
  24. I was sleeved on 1-22-13 & I have been struggling to get in all of the water & protein my doc wants me to have. I've been drinking Isopure, from GNC. One 20 oz bottle has 40 g of protein & can double as your water. It tastes sort of like Gatoraide. I drink 1 & 1/2 throughout the day.
  25. Gas

Thank you. Glad to know I'm not alone. Are you drinking from the bottles?
