Throwing Up

I was given the go ahead at 7 weeks post op to eat nuts. I had a few pistachios & almonds. Immediately after eating them. I threw up for the first time since surgery ????. Has anyone else had this experience? I've tolerated everything well, now I'm nervous to try new things.

My doc told me to avoid nuts and uncooked veggies for several months. To fibrous and hard on our newly stapled stomach. :(

Thanks for the info. I'm a little frustrated. My doctor gave me diet guidelines through week 8, but don't have much info. He encouraged me to use the Nutritionist through his hospital. I talked to her for over an hour & she was very helpful. The next time I talked to the nurse at my surgeons office she said everything the NUT said was incorrect & I needed to follow the doctors orders. Very frustrating!!!

I can forward you some stuff my dietician sent me for stage one and two recipes or ideas to try if you want. Just send me your email.

It will take some time. Don't worry. I lived on sf Popsicles. Chili blended. Beef stew blended etc. you will find what works for you. Be patient

Sent!

My guidelines go through several months. I will send some PDF files as I get on home computer.
