  1. Gas

LovinMe2013 posted a topic in The Gals' Room
I'm 4 days post op & I can feel the gas bubbling around all day long. When the gas finally gets to where I can pass it, sometimes it's a little messy :-( Is that normal this early out because of the liquid diet? Should I still have that much gas from surgery? All I have is water, Isopure, chic broth & my meds. Also, am I giving myself gas by drinking out of the bottle? I can't stand to drink from those medicine cups any more? Please tell me if this is normal....cause it is extremely embarrassing!!!!
  2. I just treat the commercials like a horror show, as soon as they come on I turn my head or change the channel.
  3. I'm going to freeze the Isopure. Do you have any other recommendations for getting my protein in this first week without milk?
  4. I'm 2 days post op & I'm having trouble getting in all of my water & protein. I'm drinking the 20 oz Isopure with 40 grams of protein & I have drank a 16.9 oz bottle of water. My body wants to sleep, but I can't hydrate while sleeping. Which is more important at this point water or protein. Is this normal?
  5. Yes, I can suck it up to the mark every time. I'm going to really focus on drinking today.
  6. I was sleeved on Tue, Jan 22nd. Last night was the first night in my bed at home. Everytime I woke up & took a breath my lungs hurt front & back. Are they sore from that breathing thing the hospital makes you use every hour or from gas? I also have do drink water & protein water all day in 15 min increments. How much fluid could you guys do post op?
  7. Same here. I keep falling asleep while talking. I've been walking.n
  8. I'm in the waiting room also & feel like I'm going to throw up. I wish I could've took a Ativan.
  9. Today is the day, I'm so nervous. I hope all goes well with everyone.
  10. I'm really struggling with going forward tomorrow & this was on my fb.
  11. That is exactly what I'm going through with my Dad & Father in law. Even my closest friends are saying things like that. It makes me feel alone. I feel like when I am sick, I won't be able to let them know cause I sure don't want to hear a told ya so. My surgery is Tue, 22nd & I'm so scared I'm making a bad choice.
  12. My surgery is Tue & I'm just flooded with fear. Is this right for me? Have I tried everything? Should I go to this extreme? I'm so worried about all of the post op posts I have been reading about pain & regrets. I'm 50/50 on wanting to back out, but I feel like I can't back out. Everything is done & mostly paid for & so many know. So scared this could not be right for me, but I've been so positive & head strong until now.
  13. I'm scheduled for the 22nd, but haven't been able to find much info about him. Most of the success stories on his web page our his employees. Just wish I knew someone that was sleeved by him.
  14. Has anyone used Dr. Clayton Frenzel?
  15. I just finished week 1 of the pre-op diet & I only lost 3 lbs. how is that possible? I haven't cheated & followed the diet closely. Shouldn't I have lost more? I'm just so ready for the whole process to be over & be on the other side of surgery fully healed.
  16. Thank you guys so much. I think it is just the fear of not having post op documentation for 10 + years. I'm so excited & I love having the support of you guys to answer my questions. I hope all is well with everyone.
  17. ProudGrammy Thanks, I'm trying really hard to stay positive & not worry. I notice that so many WLS patients have poor health & end up in the hospital at some point. I just want to know that if I take my Vitamins like I'm supposed to will it prevent this? I'm 31 yrs old & hopefully I will have atleast that many years ahead. I just want to remain healthy.
  18. I'm scheduled for surgery on 1/22/13. I'm getting really nervous about long term health post op. I'm curious how many sleevers on this forum are 5 or more years.
