For those stuck in a stall, just keep doing what you are doing. I finally, finally saw some scale movement. After about 6 weeks of being stuck, the scale is finally moving. I tried every trick in the book but in the end I just trusted the process. I did stop logging my food because it was just making me crazy to see how little I was eating and not getting any results. If I feel myself slipping I'll start logging my food again. Mainly I keep track of my activity with my fitbit. Trying very hard to make my 10,000 steps a day goal. Not so easy when you have a desk job. Just 1.8lbs to go before I drop below 200.
    We can do this!
    Weightloss since surgery: 39.2
    Weightloss pre-op: 48

Been ages since i've been on - very busy and life just gets in the way! But I'm a Feb sleever, and have been stuck in the 107's (kgs) for about 2 months now. I have lost a total of 25.1kgs, and I am holding steady.
I think considering the number of Feb sleevers who are "stuck" is quite indicative that it's not always calories in/calories out, and that weight isn't in fact always in our control, despite our best efforts. I think the body goes into a shut down/refusal to keep losing at a certain point because it realises that it's lost a good size chunk of itself and it puts on the brakes big time. Because it thinks it's starving or dying. But once it realises it's not starving or dying it relents and the weight loss picks up again, but more slowly.
I was discouraged and starting to think I had "failed" again, until I saw these posts. Now I'm thinking I need to change up my routine a bit and see if I can't get the scale moving down again. so I'm thinking an increase in plain pure Water (since winter started I've been having more things like Decaf black tea, or mint tea - stevia not sugar), and maybe doing the liquid phase a 2-3 days a week. Some of the vloggers on youtube do the liquid phase for a whole week, but I don't know if I can do that - the thought of ingesting one more Protein Shake actually makes me sick to my stomach. I look at my tin of Protein mix and my mouth waters, not in anticipation but like right before you're going to vomit??
Also, I've been lazier since winter came on, so I need to amp up my activity levels. That is probably the largest reason why my losses have stalled. I have been very lazy since end of April/first of May. The good thing is, now that I've lost the 25kgs, I actually do feel heaps better (no more feet, ankle and lower leg swelling.....my knees don't hurt unless I climbs steps or inclines the wrong way......no shortness of breath or issues with stamina although i never did have trouble with that anyway...........) I want to join the local gym near my work, but my role at work has been made redundant, and while I'm still waiting for my end date, I'm not sure if it's the best time to be investing into something I might end up not being able to use (they don't do pay as you go, it's up front for x amount of time and no refunds if you change your mind or whatever).
anyway, I'm glad to hear that everyone, 'stuckages' aside, is doing well. My husband is now wondering if he shouldn't get sleeved as well - has been in a battle with his weight his whole life as well. I don't want to push him, he's sometimes slow to come around to things, but I encourage him to seriously consider it. I think he will, but it will take him some time. I think if I can get my weight loss moving again, it will be the thing that gets him off the fence.

I'm such a slow loser... it's a bit frustrating. I had surgery on 2/27 and now 5 months post-op, I started at 225 on surgery day and now stuck at 190lbs.
I'm wondering if anyone else is stuck and what do you do? I've been under a lot of stress so I guess it could be that.
I'm considering doing a couple weeks of the liquid diet. Anyone do that to help get on track?

Question...No pain with drinking (not sipping), no discomfort at all ever, getting liquids, puddings and cream Soups down easily. Other than no appetite, and easily feeling full, I would wonder if the doc did anything. Am I just blessed or are there others.with similar experience? Sleeved 2/26/13 down 16 lbs in 2 weeks.

Wow, I'm glad I found this. You all answered my question. My surgery date is on April 9th. I was going to get a tattoo this Saturday March 9th, but I'm scared that they may tell me that I've compromised my surgery. But I will ask the Dr and see when I can have the surgery. Thanks once again.

    Hi again!
Sleeved on the 27th. I thought I would be sleeved around 5pm but they came in around 1:30 or so and were like, let's go! Haha i was shocked and felt immediately nervous. A few tears leaked down as they wheeled me into the operating room. Put myself onto the table, they hooked me up and i was glad they gave no warning about being put to asleep. Just remember my face going hot and then woke up i guess in the icu. Definitely felt pain. Ugh! Was transported to my room and my legs got wrapped around the machine to pump them. Woke up around 5 pm.
Later on they gave me some pain shots, and unfortunately my stomach hated that. Was vomiting foam after every shot. My fiancé finally made it around 9 pm and took care of me. Finally went home on Thursday.
Wasn't allowed to walk much the first day and couldn't really the next day because of how tired i was.
I've been trying to figure out how much i can actually drink without vomiting. Home now and just taking it slow. Day 3 and not much pain. sleeping on and off. I begin work on Monday so I'm trying to rest as i can.
I really can't believe I did it! Crazy that it's done!!
Good luck everyone with trying to adjust!

I'm getting nervous!! I got admitted into the hospital in Seoul (so already Tuesday the 26th) and having surgery tomorrow afternoon, 27th. Sitting in the hospital waiting for over 24hrs is nerve wracking!!!! The doctors said i could eat and drink but only before midnight. Also found out they don't do leak tests so I'm not sure how i feel about that... I also JUST found out that I'll be giving myself injections. Awesome. ㅠㅠ
    Anyway! Good luck everyone!!

*5 weeks post op on Thursday
*37+ pounds down (last couple weeks have been slow but it doesn't bother me cuz I know it will continue to come off seeing that I'm not still on my 5000 calorie a day fast food diet any longer)
    *CW 193, HW 230+
*less than 15 pounds from my HS graduation weight
Went out with my overly supportive ex to dinner tonight and after talking to him I have realized some NSV's that I can tell I've lost weight and the things that make the loss not apparent to me. Maybe some of you can relate, and I'd love to hear what you have to add to my lists.
    ***the good, my NSVs***
-when I put my hand on my chest/shoulder there are depressions above AND below my collar bones (a long ways to go but at least I know they are under there somewhere)
-I'm feeling deflated, my upper arms and inner thights, even my butt cheeks are not tight with fat anymore, happy to have a different kind of jiggle
-I had to wear my denim/spandex denim skinny jean jeggings tonight because all of my old jeans are almost too big to be comfortable (even the ones that used to be too tight but I kept in my wish pile anyways)
-I can wear above mentioned skinny jeans without sporting a camel toe
-I bought two pair of size 12 silvers off ebay yesterday and feel pretty confident I'll be in them after new years (not bad since I was in 18/20 to start off last new years).
-I slouch easier when I sit, the top of my belly is an inny again, bottoms still a bit of an outie but they fold in on each other so I can sit around comfortably without the pressure of my top fat roll getting squeezed against my bottom fat roll lol
-my class ring that I have worn religiously since my Sophmore year in HS is too big and it won't be long before it falls off all together, hard to believe that my chubby fingers are less chubby than they were back then
-I no longer have deep elastic marks on my cankles when I take my socks off after a long night at work
-I have noticed more of a cleft under my butt so theres more definition between where my legs end and my butt begins
    -I HAVE ONE CHIN!!!!
-I have to remind myself/force myself to eat throughout the day instead of it being my focus from the time I wake up
-I now drink 6 glasses of Water a day instead of 6 cans of diet dr pepper a day and no water (like I had for the last 10 years)
-it's so much easier to shave my "down there", as mentioned earlier only having one mini roll to deal is so much better
-my backboobs that were a healthy B-cup are down to AA cup and almost aren't noticeable at all now
-my dating options have opened up, I've never been comfortable being with a man that is very much smaller than I am (just didn't feel right or comfortable for me personally). Now I'm feeling comfortable dating men that are 170 pounds, which would have never been the case in the past
    ***the bad and the ugly***
-I may get my HS weight back but I'll never have my HS body back
-I'll never look in the mirror and say "oh my boobs look perkier today" or "oh my goodness my stretch marks have disappeared"
-what doesn't wiggle with fat now jiggles with skin and less fat
-I've noticed more fine lines on my face now that theres not as much fat there to keep the wrinkles plumped up
-I have thousands of dollars of barely worn silver jeans in my closet that I can no longer wear that I have to try to get some money back out of to help pay for the new jeans I need
-I've always wanted sleeve tattoos on my upper arms anyways, but I'm gonna have to shell out sooner than expected to camoflage my batwings and stretch marks with ink, which I much prefer to surgery
-theres not near as much good stuff to order off of the kids menu as there is the regular Entrees lol
-I'm afraid that my big nose is going to look even bigger as my face thins out and my chubby cheeks aren't there to balance it out
-although they are getting smaller I still have my "baby boobs" that I grew under my big boobs on my ribcage, I don't know how long it'll take for those rib fat pads to be gone or if they ever really will be but I'm hoping not much longer
-I'm hesitant to get into a relationship with anyone because I'm not sure they will be attracted to the 50 pound thinner me that I will be in a few more months since they are meeting the me in progress, I don't want to be false advertising
-every day in the shower when I wash my hair I get a knot in my stomach wondering if this will be the day that I start to get handful of hair with every rinse, especially since I've had a hard time getting in all my Protein
-I haven't been my goal weight since I was probably a freshman in HS and I'm nervous about how I will look "healthy"
-already anticipating $$$ of the boob lift I'm gonna get when I get to goal
-I'm really going to be a door mat for my two 90 pound dogs once I don't have as much weight to throw into "fighting back" lol
I'm sure theres more but my brain is exhausted after jotting these down

Hi guys! I promise every day it continues to improve. I was sleeved 2/7/2013 and am finally feeling almost normal again. I just reached my first goal- Onderland!!! And tomorrow is my BDay :-) so excited! HW: 236, consultation: 229, preop: 222, SD: 212. I will advise to watch your BM closely and talk to your doc if you're not having good BM regularly. I though I was all good, but my first trip to the gym went bad when it hit me like a ton of bricks! Sorry, TMI

I did soooo well the first week! No cheating! Then Sunday came a round and I had a little tiny bit of food, and then again on Monday....and today. Bah....I've said it time and again, we are responsible for what we put in our mouths! I'm so disappointed in myself, but I can't change the past! I have to move forward and do the right thing from now on!! I know it's hard, but we can all succeed!

you haven't failed. That diet is HARD! I will never drink slim fast or carnation instant Breakfast again thanks to that diet. I cried on day 2 of my 14 day liquid diet. on day 8 I went out for a friends birthday and had buffalo wings and a beer. I some how pulled it together and made it from then on out. it all worked out. Its ok, we are human. Do the best you can and if you slip up a little its ok.

I had my surgery feb 6th. So far I'm getting in all my liquids, protien has been a little issue since it fulls me really fast. But I am trying. As far as pain, I still have a little pain in my tummy. Also when I drink I feel some pain down in my stomach for like 3 secs. I don't know what's that about. Maby cause I had a hernia repiar?? I can sleep on my left side now yeaa. Lol. I can tell I'm losing already, and it hasn't been a week. I know I'm losing inches. Also I been having diarrhea smh. Is that normal?
I'm also trying to be creative with this liquid diet, its getting boring but I don't have much choices. All in all I feel great, a little weak though. I am greatful to god for getting an opportunity to have surgery and get a second chance.
