So I started having increasing right side pains that would come and go. Didn't really pay much attention to it until getting ready for bed a few nights ago I was struck with such intense pain I was crying like a baby. It went from my right side to my chest to between my shoulder blades. I'm not a fan of my local ER the best one and the one my wls surgeon is at is 25 miles away (30mins if traffic is good) but I was willing to go local. My first thought was "omg ill feel better if I throw up!" We'll that didn't take long for that to happen but since I hadn't eaten in about 2 hrs I just dry heaved (ouch!) as soon as I convenced my husband lets go I'm dying it disappeared! So he then thought I was crazy. Called my doctor in the morning and a few test later my gallbladder is the culprit. Now yes it was an option to remove with wls surgery but my stupid ins wouldn't cover it because there wasn't a problem with it so now I have to have it out their paying. So Monday it is and I'm so ready because these sporadic attacks hurt!

  4. Ask the doctor where his support group meets and go! Come here often too!
  5. I was so fatigued and didn't do anything much while on the shakes
  6. Yes it's torture. Don't go to do your pre surgery weigh in at lunch time. On of the ladies was heating up her broccoli and I could have attacked her for it!
  7. Worst pain including surgery was removal of the drainage tube. That sucker hurt. I was in 3 days 2 nights. 2nd day I wanted to wash private areas and my CNA wanted to give me a bed bath (former tech here) I refused. I made my husband give me a shower
  8. I brought books, make up, my contacts, & iPad. I knew I would be up and running right after but sadly no. Rest and walk that's all I wanted to do.
  9. They took my cath out pretty quick. He had me up and walking a few hours after I woke up. The hardest part is nothing by mouth the entire day of surgery. Next day you get ice chips which by then is like heaven!
  10. Well I use to could but not anymore. My pre op was like 2 pm then went for my spa I didn't get out of there until 5. They do take forever. I just wore a gown and a robe if you have a drainage tube u won't want it bothered. That thing is no joke. It hurt all the way up to my shoulder funniest part was when the nurse removed it my husband almost passed out. Congrats on getting approved!!!
  11. Oh yes bowl movement or he orders help and it's not fun
  12. I was told 4 months for raw veggies and to take it slow introducing one at a time. Good luck
  13. Did you really say Boston cream donut!!!! Lol I'm 4 months out. I have not cheated because why would I cheat myself. I do occasionally have whole wheat with added fiber with an egg white (1/2 piece 25 cal) but not daily I don't want the carbs. Some people honestly should have never had the surgery. It's not a quick fix. I will admit I sometime crave really really bad chocolate but I fight it because I'm fighting for my life
