  1. I was sleeved the same day as you... how are you doing with the cream soups? I'm just focusing on liquids and getting in my Protein shakes now.
  2. Don't let anyone take your glory... you got this and will be much healthier than you were preop.
  3. Ok down 11 pounds since 12/12... doing great with water and getting my protein in but it seems to go right thru me... I feel great though and it's getting better each day.
  4. I started my journey 12/12 at 245 pounds... now I'm 6 days post op and already at 236... It wasn't as bad as I thought and I am walking down my street and back... It does tire me out but I am getting thru it. I have grown up in a house where everything revolves around food so I have to learn to make better decisions... Atkins was the only diet I ever was successful with so I will do great with the low carb eating. Looking forward to share more success with all... the support is really helping me. Thanks to all
  5. Started my shakes with skim milk and my stomach is paying the price. ... it goes right thru me. Any suggestions. .. does this go away?
  6. So I started protein shakes yesterday and my stomach is not happy. I am able to drink it no problem but it's going right thru me. Im not sure if this is normal or if I should switch to soy milk... If it goes away great... anyone dealt with that before?
  7. I am taking 7 weeks.. I will need it to rest and get to where I want to be physically... my friend was sleeved in april and took 7 and was just starting to be back to normal. If you can do not push it.. take your time
  8. Don't get discouraged we are All nervous and have doubts. Everyone has plateaus.... my friend lost 65 pounds in 6 months after her sleeve... But she had moments of plateaus. .. you will do great.. I Am six days post op and down 8 pounds... hope to keep this up! I knw it will slow down a lot but I will take all the pounds I can!!
  9. I used body by vi for months prior to surgery but its soy Protein and whey is muvh better and it has less protein per serving.. I like vanilla eas whey protein.. I bought a huge bag from Sams club snd its great with 28 Proteins per scoop. I put a little bit of pulp free orange juice for a creamsicle taste.. Now what to do with my 8 bags of body by vi shakes??? Lol
  10. I just started my shakes today. .. my stomach did not like it too much. Hang in there we will get better and it's all worth it!!
  11. Great question I got sleeved on 12/12 and start phase two tomorrow... any good suggestions other than shakes
  12. They had me drink this nasty blue drink and no leaks...yay!!!! I am eating small amts of jello and bare min broth... I start phase 2 tomorrow... not sure how I'm going to get that all down
  13. I know how you feel... I was sleeved on 12/12 also and feeling good being at home.q.. my husband is doing more than I imagined he would. The support will really help us... keep me posted on your progress. Good luck
  14. I was also sleeved 12/12 I am trying to keep my fluids up... I am waiting for the bloating and tenderness to go away.
