  1. Thanks everyone called doctor. Waiting on a call back.
  2. I'm having dizzy spells several times a day. It happens EVERY time I stand up. I'm 3 1/2 years out. But the fainting spells started after I lost 100 pounds. They are starting to scare me. I should say my bp was 100/78 last wee .
  3. Ditto! Keep forgetting. But like someone said earlier, I'm still a card carrying member. My medical records still read obese, even now. Still don't understand that one.
  4. BTW, I think the guy was rude. Just my opinion.
  5. Well, I did end up looking gaunt. But it wasn't because of WLS. It happened after the WLS. I was throwing up everything I ate. Waited to long to go to the doctor. Ended up being helacobactor pylori. I think I spelled that right. NOW, my family kept blaming the WLS. I looked sick. I was sick. Had NOTHING to do with WLS.

  7. I'm even amazed at the difference. I didn't think I was that heavy.
  8. Wow! You did have the blue plate special. Slow and steady wins the race. Take care of yourself.
  9. In the last month I've put on for pounds. Scares the bejeezes out of me. Time for the five day thingy.
  10. @@Fatty McFatster Good luck!
  11. @@NoMoBand I was talking to calitexan. :-)
  12. Hmmm, what is with November. Mine will be three years in November. I'm sorry about the wait. You stay positive. All good things come to those that weight.
  13. Wow! I'm sorry. I'd sure be asking doctor and NUT about this.
  14. I don't think your stomach stretches back out, but you have to learn to eat healthy. Smaller portions, which the sleeve helps with, more protein intake, and lower carb intake. No grazing. You can have a few of your favorites. BUT small portion and very rarely. That's my two cents.
  15. I never did the band. I had my sleave performed almost three years ago. Had it done right before Thanksgiving and I had to cook to Thanksgiving dinners. Ugh! I digress, I've never had GERD. But I did throw up a lot. My fault, not the sleeves. I had two really bad habits. I ate to fast. I didn't chew enough. Once I got them under control everything has been smooth sailing.
  16. Gastric sleeve surgery. Longterm success. Well, I started out at 230, I am down to 125. (At least last week I was.) I'm 2 1/2 years out. I'd call that long term success. But it's up to you. My husband has gained a large portion of his back. He's eating larger portions, carbs and sweets. I eat carbs and sweets occasionally, but very small portions and very seldom.
  17. Ummm, my doctor said I wasn't heavy enough for RNY and STRONGLY suggested the sleeve.
  18. I told my mom, my youngest son, my best friend, and of course my husband (who had just had sleeve surgery). I forgot my mother tells everything to everyone. Opps! I've only had two negatives, my best friend worried about me having surgery, and the rest saying I look to thin. No one has even ask how I lost weight. Oh, I do know my ex is telling everyone I'm on drugs. I don't care. Anyone who knows me doesn't believe him, and the rest can sit and spin. Sorry about the tangent. Do what's best for you. And I like what everyone else said. Protein, lower carbs, portion control and exercise. By the way, I would NEVER ask personal questions as to how. I'd more than likely tell them how great they look and keep up the good work, but that's me.
  19. Congrats! You are doing great. I'm so glad my husband decided to do it, I would have never thought of it. 2 1/2 years out and I went from a 2x to a 9/10.
  20. No, no, no, no. I will NOT gain my weight back. This is WAR!
