  1. Thank you....so excited to try these! Merry Christmas to me this year! Lol
  2. That is a lot of sugar for post op!
  3. I have told people as I go, not everyone knows at work yet but most of my friends and family know. My start weight was 325 so it's not like people won't know anyway. I also believe that for me it adds a little accountability. I don't want to be known for being a failed wls like some other people I work with. Everyone needs to do what is best for themselves though. If you don't want to tell, stick as close to the truth as possible!
  4. I had that for a few days and then I swung the other direction..lol
  5. I can't wait to start getting rid of clothes! lol I am just starting to fit into the clothes I have which is ridiculously sad.
  6. It's very good to hear that you are getting better and getting such good care! Good luck to you and hoping you get home before the holidy!
  7. You will be able to get treatment here. It might depend on your insurance wether they cover that treatment. I will say though that my sister had a self pay surgery and had wound complications from it, her wound treatment was covered by her insurance because it was not considered post-op treatment but a new issue.
  8. Good job! I was 12-11 and I think I've hit it like 2 days...it's pretty hard! lol I can't wait to be eating a little protein so I don't have to have 4 supplemental drinks!
  9. Yeah, I really think that you need to increase your fluids. Your body can't function well when it's not preperly hydrated. If you can't tolerate enough fluids right now then definitely go to emergency to get hydrated.
  10. Wow, you look absolutely amazing! Congratulations on such a successful journey. What do you think was key in your losing so well?
  11. I also think we need to remember that we'll be starting the year right. Who needs a new years resolution that won't be kept? We have already made the change! Also, by next year we will be looking good for the holidays and all of the parties and even be able to eat in moderation...maybe looking back next year moderation will be easier because if we can live through eating nothing during the holidays then eating in moderation next year won't be too hard!
  12. It's completely normal...gotta give your body a little time to heal. I am 10 days out and I still feel discomfort with bending at times.
  13. I definitely understand where you are coming from! It must be nice to be a little normal, I am looking forward to that next year! Good luck hitting your goal.
  14. Wow, that is definitely scary! I hope they figure out what is going on and get you better and home soon!
  15. That is a question that you need to ask your physician. There is no way I will be ready to go back at 2 weeks but I work 12 hour shifts and do a lot of lifting
  16. You know it doesn't sound right that you guys are so excited to have lost a dog and a child? LOL Just kidding by the way, congrat's and those are great visuals!
  17. Congrat's that is awesome! I seem to be the only person who doesn't have a one week appointment...mine is at 2 weeks which pushed to 3 due to the holiday. Oh well, I have lost 19 pounds since surgery. I'm doing okay but doc had to call in an antibiotic because a few incisions are infected...hoping that takes care of it!
  18. I really feel like you should get checked out, that doesn't sound good or normal.
  19. I understand that you're frustrated but 18 lbs in a month? Everyone loses differently and I'm sure it's hard to see people who are losing 18 pounds in a few weeks but at 18 pounds in a month you are still over 4 pounds a week and that's not too shabby if you ask me. I think sometimes we expect everything to happen so fast, the weight didn't pop up over night and it is definitely going to take time coming off. If you hit a 'stall' then call your nut for some advice but sometimes it's just about waiting it out. Best of luck to you!
  20. I'm confused. If you are already eating the smaller amounts/low calories/high protein then how is a revision of the sleeve going to help?
  21. good luck and hoping for a quick recovery for you!
  22. Congratulations! That's awesome!
  23. I would go get checked out if I were you. That doesn't sound like anything that should be happening, are you dizzy/light headed?
  24. It is hard ladies...I went to the store the other day and it was crazy how many things in there were screaming my name! I was actually sweating it was so bad! The junk is everywhere but we obviously need to stay strong! I love the crack reference by the way! lol We only have another week and I figure I can do just about anything for one week! As a prior poster said...we are going to lose a ton of wight over the holidays and all of those face stuffers can't say that!
  25. lol I have been wanting to watch this stuff and I have been pouring through my healthy cooking mag like crazy too!
