  1. I went back to work at 4 weeks with physical job and thought I would be fine because I was feeling so good at home...work kicked my booty! I made it but it was rough! lol
  2. I am in grand rapids but already ad my surgery with another surgeon!
  3. Oh my...so can't wait to be able to eat these!
  4. Congratulations! I had surgery on 12-11 as well!
  5. My surgeon gave tylenol before and after surgery on a schedule I believe.
  6. I had no lifting restrictions from my doc...just activity as tolerated and the first week I avoided picking up my son. The second week I did a lot more of picking him up and I started having a lot of pain. I would say to at least give yourself 2weeks. My son is pretty big though at 33lbs
  7. My poor hubby stayed til 230 and then left because I wasn't waking up. lol I did want him there during surgery in case anything went wrong and a decision needed to be made but for the rest of the day I didn't care
  8. I checked and it is okay because it's a tylenol product. Here is the link if you prefer to look for yourself. http://www.slhn.org/docs/newsletter/bariatrics%20-%20coughcoldflu.pdf
  9. If it starts to change color/smell make sure they have another look at it. If it stays the thin bloody stuff it should be fine!
  10. I want to run a 5k, go ziplining, get my groove back...maybe start hiking? I just want to get out with my son and live...sick of wasting days inside!
  11. Wow, you look great! Congrat's!
  12. Wow, you really look great!
  13. Hahahaha, if I had only seen this before surgery!
  14. I definitely sleep 8 hours...you aren't usually hungry after surgery so meals are usually just planned events, not something you are dying to do.
  15. Gypsy, either way just make sure you are the kind of friend that you would like them to be. Encourage them and share knowledge, it would be awesome to drop some pounds with a friend, even if not by the same avenue. I have a friend who is eating healthy and has lost quite a bit of weight and was probably one of the least supportive people when she found out I was having surgery. She felt like I could do it on diet and exercise like her or like I have before. I was very upfront with her about my situation and why I chose surgery and that it was not something I chose on a whim. I have tried to be supportive of her weight loss and can only hope that she will be as supportive of mine! Good luck!
  16. You look amazing! Congratulations!
  17. Honestly, I didn't fit into anything that I bought (on purpose). It was all tight or didn't fit at all yet! It will be interesting to see when I can fit into the stuff. :-)
  18. I grew up in Muskegon! :-)
  19. I found a ton of pkus size clothes when I went but you have to try multiple stores! It is a lot harder to find bigger scrubs!
  20. Not too far...I'm in grand rapids! :-)
  21. I'm 33 pounds down and 4 weeks tomorrow. I'm also in MI, what area are you from?
  22. I'm interesred in starting c25k as well! I have never ran in the past but my husband told me I'd never be ablevto run which of course made me mad enough to make a 5 k one of my goals! He's going to get out of his recliner and do it with me too! Lol
