  1. DId ya at least get my instant message?? If not check your IM on yahoo. NOW GO TO BED BAD GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. OK_ I must have January. Because I was born on New years day!:0) I have already posed & done the nude thing. It was for a few artists when I was in the gallery business. I have two original pieces that I LOVE!! The other 5 actually sold in Miami FLA for $1500.00 each!!! Can you believe it! We need to have SCOTTY market this over in the UK. That way know one will care if it sells & if it bombs no one will know:0) Lisa you could have your port in no time & maybe we could all be rich & live in masions & have maids & butlers & fancy cars & servants & cooks & cars & personal trainers & personal assitants & ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh I love to day dream!!!
  3. What are you doing on the computer-SHAME ON YOU__GO CLOSE YOUR EYES_GO ON GO!!! YOUR STILL READING _ GO TO SLEEP!
  4. I take Awesome photos, will be happy to help out:nervous :rolleyes - & have zero problems w/the nudes- all tastefully done of course. Hidden scarfs there a flower pot or two there. So when in vegas--we can all make $$ for Lisa's port!!!! Lisa- If you can with all you've been through just hang on for a bit more. AS every week passes the chances of a new Doctor moving in your area increases & with time you never know what can happen. AS long as the problems don't continue to worsen just stay as you are till finances change & than get your port. If you end up removing your band you'll be back to sq one. If it just stays in & doesn't hurt you your chances of correcting the situation may be closer than you think. Either way I support your decision - but hope you can keep it. Stay positive!
  5. Hi Brandi- Its very exciting, the begining of the begining so to speak. I hope you gather all sorts of info & establish a great realtionship with your Doctor! Best of Luck!
  6. Jeanette, Here is the way I see it. To Be SUCCESSFUL WE ALL NEED TO FOLLOW THE PLAN EXACTLY as to what the doctor tells you to eat! This is not a miracle band(though I wish it was) its a tool. Its only going to be as good as we are. I don't have my surgery date as of yet due to insurance but have been on LBT for 5 mnths now everyday. I have learned alot. I started the liquid phase last week just because I could. I will continue to do liquids for one to two meals until I get my date & than for a whole two weeks prior to the date because thats what the doc says to do. I lost 8 1/2 pds & I have not added exercise. Thats not a huge amount but I am on my way & probably may have gained if I hadn't done anything. Give yourself some time. Remeber that it took time to but the weight on & usually takes more than double to take it off. You CAn DO IT.. But it will take alot of work. Think before you eat..is this worth eating? Or could I fill up on some Protein or fruit or vegs first & than 20 mins later if I am still hungry I will have what ever it was. If its high in calories say - NO! If you can't say no than try cutting what ever the portion was in half, even if its the smallest of bites just try- you may surprize yourself. You can DO IT! After Your Surgery Day 1 & 2= Clear liquid Week 1= Full Liquids as tolerated Week 2 & 3=Pureed/Blended Foods Week 4 -7 = Soft diet End of Wk 7 = Transitional period to solid food Week 8 & beyond- Solid food (Smart choices!)- Chew Chew Norma- You are only in your 5th week sweetie. I read in another post some of the things you have tried like pizza & toast w/peanut butter(i think it was) your band is still healing at this time & even though you may be able to swallow that stuff it doesn't mean your stomach isn't working overtime to digest it. Try to slow down & go back to only liquids for a bit & soft foods. Hang in there you've come so far!!! Make smart choices. I hope & pray your docs visit is a positive one. Your band will be ok if you want it to be ok. Know what I mean? Good luck Norma-You Too Can Do This!
  7. Good for You WENDYV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember alot of the discomfortfort may be just gas so walk a bit everyday if posible. SOunds like a big weight loss for you is coming up. Keep doing well!
  8. That is great news & I hope all is going well with your pre-op!
  9. Good information--If anything hopefully the price will go down:0)
  10. I enjoyed reading that all as well!
  11. OK - so where are we all- there are two threads fro weight loss. this one & the weekly one. Which one is the one for every Monday? Anyone know?
  12. Tanya- You are almost there sweetie!! I know how excited you must be. Well no one can say your not prepared, thats for sure. Everytime I see those words "Magic Bullet" sorry I have to giggle because i don't think of a blender..LOL LOL... But I am glad you have yours & are ready for any food stage you have to go through. JUST Think soon that weight ticker will be tick tick ticking along down the line. I wish you sooo much luck & know things are going to go very well for you!!
  13. I lost 5 whole pds- of I am sure water but who cares just loved seeing the scale go the other way for a change. I have not heard from insurance on the rebuttal so I will lose my 3/29 date of surgery. Therefore I am not going to stay on this liquid diet anymore till I get a date for sure. No sence in torture! So next week I know there will be a gain.
  14. Classic!!!!!!
  15. Wishing you great success & a speedy recovery!!
  16. Congrats!! I think you'll know when you get on the scale two month after the big day & (if you stuck to your guns) You should be down on average about - realistically-if you followed the 2 week pre-op liquid stage - Also followed the liquid post-op stage & than the mushie stage-- and of course factoring in the guy thing --ABOUT 35 + pds!! That would tell me I did the right thing! Of course I am no doctor - no coach & no fortune teller... But I think you are going to be GREAT!!!!! I also think it could be alot more than just 35- so good luck- listen to your doctor & talk with a dietian.
  17. What the hecky heck happened?? Dang ya miss one episode & kableweee your screwed!!-LOL I love that show & the Amazing Race!!!
  18. I had PMed Blossoms DH yesterday & told him of the wonderful post in her Honor. Here was his response back & I wanted to share it with all of you: "I found the post, and I told as many people as I could to read it if they had any doubt of Carolyn being special. Thank you, Philip" I don't know if he knows of the Flower thread for her or not. I only mentioned the Condolence thread. Perhaps someone would like to tell him, perhaps he will find it on his own. I do not feel it is appropriate for me to send another PM. Thank you. Christina
  19. YUMMY - I am so hungry --doing the liquid phase right now- I need to stay away from these type of threads- BUT I LOVE READING ABOUT all the great stuff to look forward too!!!!!!! I wish I could fill-up on words!!!
  20. That is wonderful news! Much success on your journey!!
  21. Wonderful news!! Sorry about the Hubby! LOL- I sure hope you spoiled yourself prior to your surgery. Heal quickly & take it easy for a bit. I look forward to some photos. Congrats to you!!!
  22. HI Estela, So its been a few more days are you doing better? What about those extra 5 pds are they gone? I hope you can ride out these few weeks without having an unfill. But if not I have heard that sometimes the littlest amount taken out can help tremendously. How about searching some threads on unfills? Maybe that will shed some good advice for you. I hope you better..Thinking of you
  23. wow.. Please go have a second opinion here in the states BEFORE you go. Truely you would want to be more informed than going soley off the opinion of the Doctor who did the original surgery. Once you have a second one you can be more sure about correcting the situation. I wish you weren't going through this But am happy you've lost such a great amount of weight. Right now though please concentrate on healing 100%. Best of luck to you. Please update us.
  24. Hi Ya'll. Was just reading all these responses to your post Vines & came across Blossoms. ((gulp)) ((tears)) ((sadness)) than suddenly ((encouragement)) ((small smile)) & ((love)) Dressage is the English study of Horseback riding. I took a couple courses in college. But have always been trained in Western. Its the exact opposite of Western which made it harder to master. The worst part I tough was the constant posting. But dang you can build up some great thigh muscles. Today I will get back on the treadmill for at least 30 mins.
  25. The only thing i could tell you is that my insurance said that I should have my surgeon write the appeal because it will go through the process faster than if I write it. So I am now waiting- I was denied at first.
